f***....got back from the doctors after having severing swelling in my knee the last two days (hurt myself snowboarding) and it turns out I tore something in my knee. They have to wait for the swelling to go down to tell if I'll need surgery. The good news is I seem to be able to put pressure on it and most of my limping is due to the swelling (or so I hope).

Does that mean you'll be resting up at home? Maybe you can sneak some radio shows in?

Did they give you any good pain killers at least?

Had the company Christmas party last night.Oh how people can make asses of themselves. It was too funny, and they should already know going into it that if you do or say something stupid it will stick with you for a long time. Why do people continue to make that mistake every year?

No, I haven't taken any pain killers. Surprisingly aside from when the injury occurred I haven't been in any extreme pain. The only odd stuff is the massive swelling (and bruising running down my joint line or something). I guess I'll know for sure what is going on around Monday.

Hell the only thing that really hurts is my back from having to sleep with my feet elevated the last couple nights.

Alcohol = truth serum.

Next day = regret.

The funny part is, today I got the same news as Rex. They thought stuff was torn but it turns out I should be good to go in about 2 weeks (once all the swelling subsides. Mine happened the day before Rex's injury though.

I'm taking a History class on line and the Professor basically created the Filibuster and set us loose. They didn't see it coming. ;) 100/100 for Tex. The Professor asked if I had formal debate training, I explained I got my butt handed to me on soxtalk talking Bush, so this was easy. :cheers

I basically wound up with both pro and con Bush positions and used some of the stuff from out threads. Sweet :headbang

I just flipped over to Comedy Central and I see they're having a roast of Santa Claus. :huh

Hosted by Larry The Cable Guy, and the first roaster is Vicki Lawrence as "Momma" from that stupid-ass TV show.

I saw some nobody comic dressed as the Easter Bunny.

I couldn't hit the remote fast enough. I'll be avoiding Comedy Central for a few hours.

Awful.

I have mine next weekend. It's meant to be black tie (e.g tuxedo), but I don't think anyone from my department will be wearing that.

And they've cut back from a fancy sitdown dinner at a major casino to a cocktail party at some place I've never heard of. "Gotta cut costs from somewhere!!!!"

I am taking my peeps low key. Dinner at Champps then laser tag. We did it last year, and they all had a fun time chasing after the boss.

We had our Christmas party while I was in Disney. I usually try and find a way to not go to them, but they have always been mandatory (believe it or not). We have always been told that our parties are a great way to say "thanks" to our bosses, not vice-versa.

That is a travesty.Something like that would let me know that I will not be a part of that company for too long. That is really sad, seriously.
