Greg The Bull Luzinski
Just a reminder Soxtalkers, if we have learned nothing else this season, it is not back any team this year. We made the Brewers s*** away their 7 game lead and s*** all over themselves. Let's not officially back or endorse any team for these playoffs. in '
CWSGuy406
Ubaldo (sp?) Jimenez has some filthy stuff. I'm surprised his minor league K/9 is so low -- it's gotta be a command issue because that slider combined with that mid-90s fastball is nasty. Milkman delivers
If Colorado were to win today, and the Padres lose (which seems likely), does Colorado win the WC?

If the Rocks can some how win here and tomorrow then I think you can make a pretty damn good point for either of those guys.
Milkman delivers
If the Rockies pull this one out, I am going to firmly believe that they'll win the one-game playoff and represent the NL in the World Series.

Milkman delivers
Ha, I thought it was the 9th inning. I was wondering why gameday kept going after Atkins' single. Now a double off the bat of Hawpe, the Rockies are putting themselves in a good position.
Rowand44
Well they could have put the game on ice there, still in good shape though.

Jordan4life_2007
Can you imagine the emotional high the Phillies are on right now? Trailing by 7 games just two weeks ago? They say teams with the most momentum do the most damage come October. The Phillies are going to be a tough out.
Rowand44
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 05:01 PM) I seriously like the Rockies to carry this momentum all the way to the Series. If they get in, they'll be my World Series pick as well. Gotta face Peavy tomorrow though. I wont be picking them because of momentum(I think that goes out the window come the playoffs) but because overall they just have a great team. Balta1701
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 03:02 PM) Can you imagine the emotional high the Phillies are on right now? Trailing by 7 games just two weeks ago? They say teams with the most momentum do the most damage come October. The Phillies are going to be a tough out. Unfortunately, they may say that, but recent evidence says exactly the opposite. i.e. the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals. And until the last week of the season, the White Sox in 05 were pretty much panicking around Mid September too.

Gregory Pratt
I'm rooting for Colorado, but they'd be better off facing just about any other starter as they've fared poorly against him and he's pretty damn good, if you haven't noticed. Plus they're throwing Fogg at him.
witesoxfan
They are also playing in Coors. If they were playing in Petco, I'd just as well cancel the game.
