Go figure...the Cubs were denied the ability to trade Jacques Jones, and now he's their hottest hitter. Like I said, I hate this baseball season.

Think about stepping in s*** and smelling like a rose. Theriot and Fontenot will be career .240 hitters and Marmol has come out of nowhere...yet they are still in the pathetic race. They couldn't give Jones away.

Somehow I think the Cards win today though.

Why can't Pujols hit the f***ing cubs christ sake.

I hate Ron Santo so f***ing much. I was forced to listen on the radio there, and he made it sound like the greatest catch of all time. I then call a friend, and he said it was a routine play. Can there just be a season ending strike in baseball right now?

Son of a b****, my extreme hatred for Jacque Jones is renewed.

The worst thing is that during lunch today, I was thinking how he hasn't had a go-ahead hit for them during this good stretch of his. Oh well....I was looking at the WC standings today, and I want the Phillies or Braves to win it. This way, the Cubs would likely have to face the Mets if they make the playoffs. I trust the Mets more than other teams.

Young in CF would make things a lot easier for next season, but Hunter-Rowand-Cameron are all options this off-season. There really isn't a pitcher of Vazquez talent on the FA market this season, not for 11.5 at least...

There isn't a pitcher even half as good as Javy that will be a FA this offseason.

Jake Peavy on the Southside of Chicago? His latest comments are very interesting. Might be kind of cool if he winds up in Atlanta, and I imagine that they'll be in on him on the trade market and try to sign him. Considering his history, and theirs with good pitchers, that might actually work out.

Our SS for next year is batting 9th behind Joel Pinero.

He has been doing this for a while now. Gives Pujols the first inning at-bat but also puts three hitters ahead of him. It seems Pujols is pretty unclutch against the cubs. Man on second one out and our future SS bunts and pops out ot the pithcer.....sounds right.
