Chisoxfn
No word yet on who is coming up.
NorthSideSox72
(test post) I am hoping for Wassermann, but they'd have to move someone off the 40-man to do it, so that's not likely. Heh, new reply window is pretty cool.
NorthSideSox72
And its Wassermann!!!
dasox24
Absolutely great for Wassermann! This guy has one heck of a story going from being signed after attending an open tryout to making it to the big leagues. Considering he had a 6+ ERA as a senor in college at Samford, he has come one hell of a long way.
Steve9347
Well, nothing like another guy to come in to throw BP to opposing teams!
elrockinMT
I look forard to seeing what Wasserman has to offer the bullpen. Anything has to be better than what we have seen right?

BigEdWalsh
QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 01:34 AM) Absolutely great for Wassermann! Considering he had a 6+ ERA as a senor in college at Samford, he has come one hell of a long way. His is a great success story. I'm really glad for him that our bullpen has been so bad that he gets a shot, because I had him pegged as a career minor leaguer. Well, good for him and I hope he fares well. Milkman delivers
QUOTE(BigEdWalsh @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 11:14 AM) His is a great success story. I'm really glad for him that our bullpen has been so bad that he gets a shot, because I had him pegged as a career minor leaguer. Well, good for him and I hope he fares well. The Sox have already had quite a few career minor leaguers in the bullpen this year. I'm not sure what made you think he couldn't get a shot. After 5 appearances, his ERA should be around 6, I'd say. greg775
Anything has to be better than what we have seen right? Sure. I guess. Hope so. Thank God Aardsma is gone; it's time to see what Wasserman can do. At least the Sox are throwing bodies at the problem.
southsider2k5
I like bringing up a guy who gives us a completely different looks. We just brought up a sidearmer and a knuckleballer, so this might make the fastballers look a little faster.
The Beast
I really like what I see so far out of Haeger, perhaps a relief role would be better for him because then people don't see him all that much and know how to hit against him like the last few spot starts he has had with the White Sox. As for Wassermann, are we looking at a Wunsch/Bradford arm? What have scouts said about him? I don't know much about him so if you could fill me in on him I'd appreciate it. Haeger only had one spot start for us last year, if I recall correctly.

Chisoxfn
I ripped Haeger a lot but I'm a fan of him now. I still don't know if I like him out of the pen (simply because if he enters a game with runners on he's more prone to the wild pitch and far easier to steal off of) but I love the fact that he can pitch a lot of games and really give the club innings if necessary plus he gives them a completely different look out of the pen. Oh and he's gotten outs which is more than I could say about the rest of the squad.
