Rowand44
I've always wondered what would have happened with Willie if him and Maggs didn't collide.
Soxbadger
I always liked Harris. thought he had an interesting tool set and would have liked to see what he could do with the Sox.
rangercal
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 10:32 AM) Pretty much 99% of this board HATED Willie Harris while he was here, and wanted him gone. Maybe this is a case of a guy figuring it out later in his career, but pining for him after hating him so much is just funny. That's not the case at all. I sure never hated him and know for sure I wasn't alone. I thought he was solid before the injury in 2004. He never had a full chance with the sox after that. max power
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 08:15 AM) And OMG your world will end because of it. Man some people are just wound way too tight for something that's supposed to be ENTERTAINMENT. That was a joke. Jeez.

Balta1701
Coming into 2006, who did people prefer as the backup Middle IF? Alex Cintron or Willie Harris? I'll sure put myself in the Cintron category. Long term, Willie's sure making that the wrong choice, but it's a miss I think very few people here wouldn't have made.
Kalapse
QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 03:35 PM) I can't wait to see the threads next year about how should have kept Iguchi, Contreras and how the White Sox screwed up a dynasty in the 90s by not keeping Dan Pasqua. You guys are so bi-polar its hysterical!! Where are the threads saying we should have kept Maggs and Lee? Funny, I can't find them anywhere. nitetrain8601
Don't think I voted in that thread or ever saw it. I've been a Willie supporter and still don't know he did in the clubhouse to this day that some people refer to around here.
Gregory Pratt
Willie Harris did something in the clubhouse?
Guest
05 was a fabulous year when players like willie harris and timo perez could barely find any playing time on our deep and talented team. it's a shame we didn't hold on to either one. clearly, they're both doing well for winning teams. But there have been people before who have suggested the Sox should have kept Rowand rather than trading him for Thome. Iguchi and Contreras will be forever remembered, but I won't ever be clamoring for them back if/when they are let go/traded.
Steff
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) steff always loved Willie too.... LOL.. Oh yea.. In all seriousness, I didn't mind Willie as much as I acted. I liked him a lot more after the Detroit trip. His main issue was his attitude. His constant sulking when he was in a slump and he made sure everyone knew about it, rather than spending more time in the cages, etc. He had the "Brandon attitude" while he was here and that was a shame. His clubhouse actions were well documentated while he was here. When he had a good day, he was sure to tell everyone and their brothers, uncles, cousins, hairdresser about it. And when he had a bad day he blamed it on everyone else. He didn't have too many friends downstairs.
