whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 12:11 AM) Anyone who uses the wraparound in 94 is a cheap son of a b****. It's a complete glitch...that game was on NHL 06 (for PS2 at least) and we played it a ton...if you don't allow that cheap bulls*** the games are actually fun and intense instead of a retard-fest. BTW, I'll beat you at that game anywhere, anytime. lol after a while we did ban the wrap around, so I ended up just using angle shots and 1 timers. Every goal on NHL 94 seemed to be a glitch, that was the fun of it. I have NHL 96 on that same Sega I mentioned I have WS Baseball 96, it's a lot of fun. OK good at least you realized it was retarded. The wraparound was essentially a goal 100% of the time, the other ways aren't even close and games are much lower scoring if you ban it. I miss head to head play on that thing. PS: SnB is brutal at that game. Edited July 26, 2007 by IlliniKrush

Buehrle>Wood
I'm playing Bomberman for TurboGraphx on the Wii as we speak. I heart this game. And now that I think of it, Ken Griffey Jr. SNES better come to Wii.

One timers were money in that game, too, especially if you got a quick pass. WS Baseball 96, there's another classic. For some reason I would always be the Rockies in my season modes -- I guess I couldn't resist the Bichette/Galarraga/Burks middle of the order. They also had Vinny Castilla and Larry Walker, and I had some strange fascination with brining Jon Vander Wal off the bench.
BearSox
Does MVP 05 count? That game is/will always be classic, and I had a lot of good memories playing that game. Edited July 26, 2007 by BearSox

Tecmobowl 2 had a similar glitch. You could sack the qb on every play with your nosetackle if you just moved him down one step and then made him dive. I had a roommate who played a season by himself and used that move every time to sack the qb. I could never understand how that could possibly be fun. Great game, though. whitesoxfan101
The worst glitch of all time is Bo Jackson on Tecmo Bowl. I mean the man was a beast, but you literally could not tackle him. Still a great game, but come on.
santo=dorf
Beating Mega Man 3 and leaving a message on my friend's answering machine. Using Game Genie and playing the hardest setting of Super Smash TV with my brother. My God did that go on for hours.

Kyyle23
Me and a buddy used to have a video game night on Saturdays, at his house or mine. We would rent a few games and play until our motors ran out(which was usually around 2 or 3). Some of the best games we got were Bass masters fishing games, we used to love those games. F-zero was always a good time, Military Madness for Turbo Graphx was awesome, i remember Slaughterhouse as well being a really fun game. SoxFanForever
Anyone ever remember playing NARC? I loved the bums that threw syringes at you. Also, driving the damn Porsche was impossible. Also loved Mario Kart and some of the classic RPG's like FF 2-3, Suikoden, Phantasy Star 4, etc.
BigSqwert
I remember loving Cyberball at the arcade. Probably spent $500 in quarters playing that one. I bought the Genesis version but it sucked.
daa84
i can't believe nobody mentioned the NES Zelda....and while it was newer the N64 version was a top video game of all time also... the N64 Goldeneye was easily one of the greatest of all times...it was the first game that had a multiplayer that I played with my friends for literally like 6 hours staright how about Contra for NES? I had a Joe Montana football for Sega that was ridiculously easy and had a bunch of glitches also. the track and field game with the power pad for NES was also a classic theres so many, i could go on and on
Kid Gleason
3 pages in and no love for Intellivision yet? Heck, I still have mine from when I was a kid (bought in '79 I think) hooked up! Just this summer I found a back-up system at a garage sale, with original manual, for a whopping $0.50!!! We also have my wife's Colecovision hooked up. That one we still have the original box for! witesoxfan
Super Mario 3 was definitely the first game I beat before my dad. Funny part was that I thought I died at Bowser and my dad was just like, No, you beat him, look at the screen. And I kinda freaked out and danced a little. My roommate brought Griffeys back to school with him after Easter; we played an entire season in a month. We were the Indians and named our team entirely after the cast of Major League, except that we couldnt find enough names, so we started filling in names like "T. Guysdead" and stuff like that. It was pretty sweet.

I remember at one map it was like a cave and there was a bridge, and we would always throw prox. mines at the bottom of the bridge so you couldn't see them but when someone ran by... BOOM! And I can't forget about Ocarina of Time and Majoro's mask. Two of my favorite games. Perfect Dark was BA as well. I just didn't like how it took that alien turn at the end. ChiSox_Sonix
oh there were definitely some classics: N64 - Goldeneye SNES - Griffey Baseball, Zelda, Mario Kart PS1 - Jet Moto Sega - Goldenaxe but here are a couple no one has mentioned: Marble Madness and Excite Bike for NES! Maybe its just me but those games were great at the time.
southsideirish71
From the Arcade perspective. Crazy Climber was an awesome game. The original Pac Man, where you could use the pattern. Rampage was another. 1941

Intellivision baseball (where the guys kind of moved like frogs) was great, and they also had a computer add-on with an even better baseball game. It had player names and profiles. Great for the time. Here's a link to the intellivion basketball game. No NBA rights, so Larry Bird was "Larry Hawk." http://www.intvfunhouse.com/games/slam.php I can't believe how dated it looks *tear*. Iwritecode
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 25, 2007 -> 11:51 PM) NES Punch Out. I remember never getting past Soda Popinski on the console and getting so pissed off. On an emulator, I beat the damn game. It was "Mike Tyson's Punch Out" when I played it. I could go straight through the game and beat everyone except for the second to last guy. Super Macho Man IIRC. I even beat Tyson.
