BigSqwert
QUOTE(Balance @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 04:03 PM) So, is Dubee going to become buddies with Danks? That was so bad I had to laugh.
Kalapse
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) Kalapse, time to update your salary tracker. Indeed, it's going to get even more complicated since I have to include the money the Sox paid him over the past 4 months. This also opens a spot on the 40, since Richar is already on there it opens a spot for another player to be added.

Kalapse
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) I just don't get this... I'd rather have the draft pick. Couldn't they have at least gotten a really s***ty POSITION PLAYING prospect? There is no draft compensation for Iguchi.

Balta1701
PhuturePhillies.com interviews Kevin Goldstein of BP: PP: Give us one guy that you have a gut feeling on, but can’t really back it up with numbers or tools, either good or bad. KG: Michael Dubee.
Balta1701
QUOTE(soxchick1224 @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 02:10 PM) Who is going to be playing 2nd now?! Danny Richar, acquired from the D-Backs AAA team a month or so ago for Aaron Cunningham.
southsideirish
What did you expect to get for this guy? Final year of his contract and he is hitting .250 with 6 hone runs and 30 RBI. What the f*** did you people expect to get back? Come on!!!!! It is addition by subtraction if you ask me. Have Richar step in so we can see what we have. Flash Tizzle
I'm not going to complain, too much. But Jesus, is this all we could receive for Iguchi considering Philadelphia was desperate for a second basemen to replace Utley? This pitcher is the equivalent of a "C" level prospect. 21 year old relief pitchers in Single A with those peripherals aren't very valuable. Balta1701
Anyone wonder if the Mets are thinking "That's all it would have taken"?

santo=dorf
How the f*** do you not do better than that? They have to be at least somehwat deperate. This trade reminds me of Adkins-Durham. Hopefully Philly is taking on all of the salary.
BigSqwert
So we should expect a couple of churros and an autographed Pete Incaviglia card from Texas for Dye?
southsideirish
Anyone wonder if the Mets are thinking "That's all it would have taken"? Again, what did you expect for a poor defensive player in the last year of his contract, hitting .250 with only 6 home runs and 30 RBI. What exactly? southsideirish
So we should expect a couple of churros and an autographed Pete Incaviglia card from Texas for Dye? Yeah, because Jermaine Dye and Iguchi are comparable players. Genius.

What exactly? I dunno, but seriously, I think the Mets may kick themselves a little bit for letting a guy go to the Phillies to fill the same hole in their lineup that the mets have for this price.
