RibbieRubarb
He was one of the great artists of cinema. A true master. Along with Fellini and Kurosawa, he made film the great art-form of the 20th Century. Now he is gone, also. If you have never seen one of his films, you owe it to yourself to see just one. See how film can wield such power and emotion. http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Movies/07/...ergman.obit.ap/

longshot7
Def my fav of all time. I seen about 90% of his films and think they should be taught in every intro to film course. Through a Glass Darkly is my fav - the story of a woman slowly going insane. Great haunting stuff. a definite giant of the cinema.
bmags
a bit insensitive, but I look forward to a criterion collection that could result from this.
