maggsmaggs
One of the major moves for the White Sox before the trade deadline was the trade of Tadahito Iguchi to the Philadelphia Phillies for reliever Mike Dubee. FutureSox's Josh Wolff breaks down the deal. The Deal: White Sox trade Tadahito Iguchi to the Phillies for minor league pitcher Michael Dubee Analysis: The White Sox traded away a key cog from the 2005 World Series team, but it was necessary. The White Sox would not have received any compensatory picks for Iguchi if he left at the end of the year because of his contract, which states that he has fifteen days after the World Series to either resign with his team or be released. Released players do not net compensatory draft picks. This being the case, the Sox had to trade Iguchi. Although they could have gotten more, Dubee is not a bad pitcher... http://www.futuresox.com/frontpage/modules...cle&sid=
