Heads22
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 29, 2007 -> 04:04 PM) MAYBE IOWA STATE CAN WIN THE CONFERENCE. Sorry Heads. The worst thing is the biggest part of it is we are turning it over like 4 times a game.
dasox24
I-L-L... I-N-I How 'bout that game today!? The offense for Illinois did everything they could to lose that game in the 2nd half, but the D came up big time! Illinois finally getting a little luck as well after years of having all the bounces go the other way...

danman31
Kirk Herbstreit follows up his Penn State at #5 from two weeks ago with putting Oregon at #5 after losing. South Florida deserves to be ahead of Wisconsin at #5 right now. Auburn's win over Florida gives South Florida 2 really good wins.
GoodAsGould
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Sep 29, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) 4-1 baby, McGee better start next week. Juice blows, per usual. McGee had that great run and all, but his passes werent any better than what Juice was throwing lol. I still think Juice will be the guy next week, I think atleast this year he is going to get every opportunity possible to be the starting QB of this team. McGee has at least proven the first game of the year that he can throw the ball down field. Juice is just an absolutely brutal passer at the moment. I personally dont mind giving Juice every opportunity to keep the job but if he is having a particular bad game/half switch it up for that game. Rowand44
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 01:05 AM) National Championship, Cal versus South Florida. SIU-Hawaii.
Heads22
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 01:08 AM) SIU-Hawaii. I wasn't talking bball. It's frustrating watching Iowa State. A new QB who reduces INTs would be great. We can't have four touchdowns versus eight picks in five games. That being said, the coaching is a breath of fresh air. Although I'm not sure the ST guy is earning his money. It may look like we've gotten worse, but there's some promising signs in there. They're just hard to describe. The fact that they executed their game plan against Nebraska about as well as possible up until the Lucky TD pass is an encouraging sign. I'm not so sure we wouldn't be 0-5 with McCarney. whitesoxfan101
Wisconsin better quit with their playing close every game bulls***, or else it's going to bite them in the rear end next Saturday. Despite their 2 losses, I still think Penn State is a superior team to Wisconsin, just simply haven't had the blind luck the men in red have so far. Great win for Illinois, hopefully the move to McGee is permanent. And Benn is out of his damn mind, wow. I can't even comment on the games nationally because of how f***ing confused I am at most of the results. I shall be in the middle of the student section next Saturday in Champaign for Illinois/Wisconsin. That could be a bit fun. Also, people will talk, but the fact that Illinois could beat a very good Penn State team today despite not playing their best ball AT ALL is a good sign if anything to me. Who knows but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there are 0 undefeated teams in the national championship this season. A lot of things have to happen but as seen today, this year is wide open. They do but I think they'll slip up somewhere. Whether it's Cinci, Louisville or Rutgers I don't know but I do think they'll fall along the way. I still think LSU is the best team in the nation but I don't think they can run the table. I also think USC will fall at Oregon or Cal(I believe both those games are on the road at least). Cal isn't good enough to run their pac 10 schedule either imo. BC honestly might have the best chance to go undefeated because of their conference but eh, I don't see that either. Like I said, I really wont be surprised if there are 2, one loss teams in the National Title game. EDIT: Whoops, left out the b10 undefeateds. Well, I don't see either of them running the table either(talking about OSU and Wiscy, not even mentioning Purdue). Can't wait to see how polls shakeout today, but really nothing matters till October 13th ish when the BCS comes out. I predict Mizzou to 17 and Illinois to 33. Rowand44
South Florida at 6, BC 7 and Kentucky 8 in the new ap rankings. Mizzou at 17, good call Maggs. Very odd to see those names in the top 10 though. Edited September 30, 2007 by Rowand44
