Kyyle23
Appalachian St has opened the door for 1-AA (FCS) teams to get votes in the AP poll. I have to say it is really nice to see that the BCS teams arent the only ones getting the attention anymore, and they arent the only ones with the really good teams either. Heads22
I-AA teams have their own poll. It really doesn't make any sense or matter if I-AA teams get votes in the AP poll, unless they can start getting invited to bowl games or something. whitesoxfan101
Navy visits Rutgers tonight, and when you consider Navy had to battle in the 4th quarter to beat Temple last week, I get the sense they might be in some deep poo poo this evening. Palehosefan
I think it will be a decent, quick game. The spread was 16.5 last I looked on Yahoo, so I've got Navy with the 16.5 points. I'm expecting something like 31-21 with a lot of rushing yards.

When will people realize last year Rutgers wasn't a fluke, and they are just that good? Ah well, I'll ride bets like Rutgers -16.5 vs. Navy until they do. Palehosefan
Navy lost by 17 and their QB threw two interceptions in the endzone and another one later on. Rutgers also kept Ray Rice in the game with 2 minutes to go to finally go up 17. If Schiano had any class or Navy's QB had his head on straight it would have been an easy cover, meanwhile they missed it by .5.

The bolded is wrong, Rice staying in made it 24, and Navy went and scored in a minute 30 on the Rutgers backups to make the final score look closer at 17, but nice try. And Navy ALWAYS has terrible QB's, hence they run the option and lose anytime they play a real team.
Palehosefan
You are right, Rutgers went for it on 4th and 1 at Navy's 2 with 2 minutes to go and Ray Rice in the game instead of just kicking the field goal. Either way it doesn't matter.

That's why gambling on games can drive you absolutely nuts and why I don't do so anymore. A couple of examples fresh in my mind of games I lost.... 1. I lost $55 on Kordell Stewart's last second desperation hail mary to beat Michigan several years ago. Once second I'm about to win $50 and end up losing $55. That's a $105 swing on a stupid hail mary, according to my math. 2. I don't remember who Oklahoma was playing in basketball several years ago, but I had the dog +7.5. The game is winding down and its right on the border of the spread, going back and forth. With about 5 seconds left, the underdog (K St. maybe?) hits a shot to make it a 7 point game and Rex a winner (can't remember the amount I had bet on it). All Oklahoma has to do is inbound the ball and stand there for 5 seconds as the clock ran out But NO, they throw the ball in close to the mid-court line and some scrub dribbles twice and launches the ball toward the basket. Of course, with Rex's luck at the time, the ball freakin banks in as the buzzer sounds to give Oklahoma a 10 point win and make Rex a loser. I'm sure there are more, but those two stand out more than any others.

Rowand44
Marshall goes conservative on their last drive but they take a 13-6 lead into the half over WVU.
danman31
West Virginia is far superior to Marshall, but they are way overrated again. It's silly that the pollsters have them at 3, it really is.

I put a lot of money on there being a successful 4th down conversion. However, neither team went for it on 4th down until the final play of the game, when the Giants had like 4th and 3 and the game was out of hand. Tiki rushed for about 1 yard, but since there was still about 10 seconds left on the clock and the Ravens stormed the field, the officials decided to rule it a first down so the clock could keep going. I thought for sure I had lost, and didn't even know I had won until I checked my online account the next morning.
danman31
Haha, I was making a sarcastic fire Pat Fitzgerald post when NU got stopped on 4th down with a few minutes to go. I thought Nevada would be able to run out the clock. The offense goes 80 yards in 6 plays with no timeouts and they win the game. Cardiac Cats, geez. Still a poor performance though. whitesoxfan101
Michigan does have an impressive 244 total yards already, yet only have scored 7 points. Meanwhile, Oregon has 329 yards of total offense and 25 points with 3:41 still left in the 2nd quarter. And this Dennis Dixon boy at QB is sick, can run, can pass, can run a perfect fake statue of liberty (which i've never seen)....wow.
