RockRaines
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 11:52 PM) Outside of April, B-Mac has been superb for Texas. In his last 12 starts his ERA is at about 3.75. I'm not going to complain about the B-Mac for Danks trade, but I still believe B-Mac got shafted in 2006. They said in Spring Training that B-Mac would get spot starts to spell any of the five in case they started to 'tire' because of the extra innings from the World Series. That never happened, despite the fact that any of Buehrle, Contreras and Garcia (before his awesome September) probably could've used some rest at various points in the season. I dont know about superb. In may he pitched well, had one start in June and in July he is 1-3 with a 4.09 ERA 16k's 14bb.
BHAMBARONS
This was a deal that work out good for both teams: Here in Arizona we got rid of a pitcher whom made it clear that he wouldn't pitch here plus filled a big hole in our organization, The Sox's got a proven starter which you can never have enough of, and Javy was closer to home. A win-win deal all the way around.
DBAHO
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 05:56 AM) I dont know about superb. In may he pitched well, had one start in June and in July he is 1-3 with a 4.09 ERA 16k's 14bb. Still considering where he's pitching half his ballgames, I think Texas would be very happy with that, as would B-Mac, although I'm sure he'd like to improve the K rate a little. As for the Young trade, I'm sure right now if we had the chance to use BA instead of Young in that deal, everyone would certainly do so. But would Josh Byrnes had pulled the trigger on that deal if it was Anderson included? There were conflicting stories at the time I remember. This time last season, I don't think many people were happy with it. But Vazquez always had the potential to improve, which he has done this season. So I have mixed feelings on the deal. Very happy to have Javy here, but Young would be a real building block for the lineup.
rangercal
If he continues his post-allstar break numbers. chris young has a chance at a 30/30 season at the age of 23.
