Felix
*Great* news. I don't care if it doesn't change anything for the rest of the year, it feels damn good to see a sweep against a team that claims to be one of the best in the majors. RME JICO
White Sox sweep! Huge confidence boost. 9.5 GB of Detroit and possibly 10 GB from Cleveland (if they lose). Floyd with 6 shutout innings to get the W, nice game. Jenks nailing down his 30th, 31st, and 32nd consecutive batters for the save.
winninguglyin83
maybe we can climb back to .500. But if feels pretty damn good to finally see this team the way it should be playing. got a pen. got a new arm. got some speed. enjoy the hell out of this for those of you who have suffered through the first four months. Balta1701
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 01:20 PM) And this is why I rode the Gavin train all along. Ditto here. Boo yeah Gavin. I'm not gonna start bragging yet, since he's got to keep that up for a while...but damn it seems nice to have a little hope. These guys who are picking it up in the big leagues are solving so many of our potential problems for next year...

southsideirish71
For all on the Jenks velocity watch. He seems to be doing pretty well while not throwing 100 everytime. Dont you think. Gavin throwing strikes and getting his curve over is key. Richar keeps impressing.

Pants Rowland
QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) *Great* news. I don't care if it doesn't change anything for the rest of the year, it feels damn good to see a sweep against a team that claims to be one of the best in the majors. Maybe I haven't seen a "healthy" Tiger team yet, but they have not been too impressive in the games I have seen this year. Nice job by the White Sox this weekend. I love to see them make the teams ahead of them earn the division. Let's go get those Injuns!
vandy125
QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 03:43 PM) Sox are 10.5 games out of first. I mean, it's not going to happen, but ... 10.0 games now... Not gonna happen, but it is fun seeing them play well.
southsider2k5
There is a lot better energy to the team with all of the kids and veterans worried about jobs in the line up. I really like the progress that guys like Richar, Fields, and Owens are making in a short amount of time.
RockRaines
Richar and Owens are impressive. Its nice to have a 3B who can run as well. Gavin's stuff was nasty today, I dont think I have seen that sinker and change that he was featuring today. That 2 seamer that he punched out Maggs with was nasty.
