He's picthed maybe a handful of times. Not doing great, but not being pummelled either (except 1 outing). Considering he's so new, he's doing well. I was psyched to see him called up - I have a soft spot for players who make their way up the chain the hard way (he got in via an open tryout), and who succeed despite not having the as high a level of natural tools as many others. He seems to be extremely dedicated as well. When he speaks it's not with that familiar sense of "entitlement" that many have.

I like the hair on fire wind up. Seems like a fluky Chad Bradford/Joe Neschik kind of guy that will be serviceable but after guys see him, I think he'll get hit. He actually was with the Knights before his call up. He was the knights lone All-Star replacing Gavin Floyd. I got a chance to talk to him the day after the All-Star game and he seemed like a nice humble young man.

That's exactly the word my husband just used to describe him. Very thankful to be wearing the colors. It's nice to see that. It's easily forgotten, IMO. Jim Spencer
My son told Ehern that we watched him in the All-Star game the night before and he said, " I guess I did Ok". I told him he pitched a scorless inning and he said, "Yeah, but I did walk 2". He told us about his flight out the morning after. Just seemed like he really appreciated where he was at. Hopefuly he continues to excel between the lines. He's not so hot on the links though...
southsider2k5
I like the way the kid takes the mound. He really has a nice presence out there for a guy who came out of no where.
kwolf68
Agree...Ehren isn't the next Dennis Eckersley, but I think there is a spot for him...and I think he's a little better than we think. He looks to be a real candidate to pitch from the start out the pen next year. Wasserman has been in 10 games, giving up runs in only 2 of them. Over his last 7 innings (8 games) his WHIP is about 0.50 or so. And in his last 5 innings he has given up only 1 hit with no walks. He seems to be getting comfortable and confident. I like this kid. Kalapse
Boone Logan : lefties :: Ehren Wasserman : Righties Right handed hitters are 1-20 this year against Ehren though he has walked 2 of them so righties are putting up a .180 OPS against him in 23 chances. So if Ozzie could somehow control himself and try to limit Logan to facing lefties and Wasserman to righties this team could have 2 deadly specialists.
