Rex Hudler
and as per our eariler conversation i realize that but the phone call i made said different.. they are still hammering away as i type......will know more later on......... fair enough........ i would just be very surprised if Florida does a 180. It would be the dumbest announcement ever, if that is the case.
Joel
So you would take Sosa over Pujols? Everett started off red hot with 14 homers and a .300 average for the first three months and have done s*** since then. And his attitude rumors dont help, so KW, please dont get ripped off once again. Everertt and Sosa are 2 totaly diffrent situations. Everertt was actualy playing like an All Star this season. Sosa hasn't Like an All-Star?? You mean Everett's .198 average since May 27th? I said this season, meaning sometime this season. For less than 2 months, he played like an all-star. In the tank, since. Exactly what I was saying that you can't compare the 2, because Sosa hasn't played like one all season, atleast Everertt has some part of the season. Rex Hudler
Let's just hope like hell they don't decide to make a deal for Everett.

Molto
I wouldn't want Everrett, not because of his attitude, but because defensively he isn't that great center, which I think is what we need right now. just because we add defense at second in Alomar, doesn't mean we can slack off in center. Everrett is a good power hitter, but I would suggest batting him DH whenever they can.
Winning Ugly
I don't want to get anyone too excited, but KW said we are trading for another bat, right? Juan Encarnacion has not played in the past 2 nights, and he's not injured.
SoxFan1
Where do you get this from? Encarnacion eh...is he slumping?
Winning Ugly
No he's not he's been as productive about any OF this season, and he's on many of my fantasy rosters so I checked up on him just now and even with a 15-1 lead he hasn't played and neither was he playing last night. Then again, maybe we're looking at Hollandsworth, who has played for Juan the past two nights.

Juan is a very solid hitter.... how's his defense?? cause if it's not above average I'd rather see Willie/Aaron
Molto
I would probably take Encarnation over Everrett for the fact that he can play center, BUT the more I think about a trade for Everrett, the more I would be OK pending who we give up. I say this because Everrett will allow us to do some nice rotation of guys from DH to position. Everrett can DH one day, play left the next for Lee. he can play center here and there. personally, I'd rather stay where we are. I think Harris and Rowand in center is fine, and I think IF konerko were to be sent to the minors, he can be a huge contributer offensively down the stretch.
