Capn12
He's 26 and in AA? What am I missing here. Don't get me wrong, thats a hellacious start, but thats like a 14 year old playing coaches pitch.

Calderon
Well, neither of these two teams (Mobile, Huntsville) have a scouting report on him, nor do they have an affiliate in the Carolina League where he came from. That said, this is a pretty unbelievable start. Edited August 12, 2007 by Calderon
DBAHO
So Heads is Cook your new man now instead of Eggy? Sisco 2ER from 5.2IP, not too bad of an outing from him.
ShoeLessRob
Cook is the next Roy Hobbs.
whitesoxfan101
Mabee needs to get sent to Kanny ASAP, he's thrown 13 scoreless now at GF with a GO/AO of 11.50 and .111 average against him. Also, what the hell got into David Cook? He was having a nice year at W-S, but the man is on fire. He's 26 which is a damn shame though, but it's hard to ignore his power and ability to draw walks, 2 things this system is lacking right now badly. I'd hope and assume Cook starts at Charlotte next year and we see how it goes. Also, McCulloch was good for B-Ham (6 IP, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 2 walks, 3 k's 8/6 GO/AO, win) and Cook's official game was this: home run, hit by pitch, single, walk, walk, outfield assist on defense. Hey, he is 2 years younger than Ankiel and doesn't have the traumatic past of pitching disaster...Also, Sisco pitching well against a 1st place team but lost, and Richard pitched well but went against a guy that almost threw a perfect game tonight, so yeah he lost too. Ely got the crap kicked outta him. Edited August 12, 2007 by whitesoxfan101

BearSox
speaking of players that need to be promoted from G-F to Kanny, Jim Gallagher is someone I think deserves a promotion. And Poreda as well.
BearSox
Nevin Griffith pitched an inning of relief for Bristol. Gave 1 hit, walked a batter, struck out 2, and surrendered no runs.
southsider2k5
QUOTE(BearSox @ Aug 12, 2007 -> 07:04 AM) speaking of players that need to be promoted from G-F to Kanny, Jim Gallagher is someone I think deserves a promotion. And Poreda as well. Poreda isn't on a fast track. You won't see any real movement on him organizationally. They want to keep his innings low this year.
