DBAHO
That's 7 good outings in a row for Sisco now. He's really starting to come on nicely as a starter down there which is good to see. I wonder if he'll get the next oppurtunity as a SP if a slot opens up?
WHITESOXRANDY
Sisco has the ability but he's still raw. Last night it took him 100 pitches to get thru 6 innings against a weak AAA lineup. And, he had 5 ground outs to 6 fly outs - not a good ratio. And, in those 7 starts he's 2-1, hasn't worked past the 6th inning in any of them and has walked 18 in 37 innings. He still needs work but I think he's worth holding onto. kwolf68
QUOTE(WHITESOXRANDY @ Aug 17, 2007 -> 03:39 AM) Sisco has the ability but he's still raw. Early on they were keeping Sisco's pitch count monitored. And keep in mind, Scott Kazmir went through a period this year where he was tossing 100 pitches over 6 innings. That is something one can improve on. Sisco does need to become more economical, but the fact of the matter is despite that and despite the walks, he is getting people out, he is completing innings with success. After the comedic routine he rolled out for us earlier in the season, this is quite an interesting development. He is big, he is lefty, he is young, and he throws hard...definately a kid we need to hang onto. And yes...I did use Scott Kazmir and Andy Sisco in the same sentence (well, just paragraph).
