Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 04:39 PM) Brewers just blew another significant lead. fathom
Brewers are now losing, as Linebrink just gave up another run. Hart couldn't see a fly ball, and then made a horrific throw home. Yost is the worst manager I've seen in baseball this year....even worse than Ozzie!
Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 05:00 PM) Brewers are now losing, as Linebrink just gave up another run. Hart couldn't see a fly ball, and then made a horrific throw home. Yost is the worst manager I've seen in baseball this year....even worse than Ozzie! Again, Ned Yost should be fired. Not so much because of the complete collapse of the Brewers, but because he is the worst manager in baseball. He consistently puts his players in a position to lose. Unless something is done, a young team like this might never recover.
fathom
Brewers just got swept. I like how he let D. Miller hit against the righty in the 9th inning leading off the inning. I bet they're sure happy they gave up the farm to get Linebrink. Edited August 26, 2007 by fathom

Next stop, getting swept by the Cubs. I'm calling it right now. It will be the spring board the Cubs need to win the central before losing in the first round of the playoffs. Just have to hope Cubs face the Mets in the first round...the rest of the teams in the NL have too many pitching injuries right now.

Even though I am not sure they will make it to the playoffs, Chris Young's team seems to be handling the Cubs pretty well too.
fathom
Salazar just made a sensational catch for the DBacks. However, I don't think Ryan Theriot ever makes an out in the 6th or 7th inning of a close game.
Harry Chappas
I think the Brewers take 2 of 3 and the Cardinals sweep whomever they play and the NL Central becomes quite a race.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
My God the Brewers suck a big fat one.
fathom
How many 91 fastballs right down the plate can one team swing through in a game?
fathom
For anyone watching the Brewers/Cubs game: - what a terrible pitch selection with Hill up and a runner on 2nd. You had to know he'd be hacking at a first-pitch fastball. - Ryan Theriot seems to always start rallies for the Cubs in the 6th or 7th inning....he's leading off the 6th, is there any chance he makes an out? WilliamTell
I hope he makes an out. Bill Hall is up right now, he's my hero, he better do something good.
fathom
Exhibit 50000 why Wrigley Field is a dump on that freak play near the wall. Suppan is in trouble, as this is usually where he loses his command.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
If Suppan does not cough up a four spot here, I will be shocked. But what Suppan does not do, I know the Bullpen will. Milwaukee's pitching is such a waste of money.
WilliamTell
lol Bob Uecker said root for the Brewers during the 7th inning stretch since that's his team and they all got pissed.

fathom
Excellent start by Suppan....too bad he tried to go inside on Floyd when he's had the offspeed stuff working all game. Will this be the 14th game the Brewers have lost in which they led by 3 or more this year?
WilliamTell
dang this isn't good. the Cubs are getting Minnesota Twins comebacks recently.
fathom
What a f***ing joke. Ned Yost is the worst f***ing manager ever. Why let Jones face a righty when you have a good lefty in the bullpen. Like I said earlier, it's Cardinals or bust right now.
fathom
Kudos to Pinella for not having Jones bunt lately in big situations. What a crock of s*** that Jones is their best player right now, and MLB made him stay on the team.
Brian
Linebrink has been bad for Milwaukee.
