SkokieSox
http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...sp&c_id=cws I have to say, when the contract extension was in the midst of collapsing, I was upset and felt a trade was necessary. It just goes to show that there are things going on under the radar that aren't visible to the whole population. I'm glad he wants to be here as much as he does. Definitely adds some brownie points in my book. Edited August 18, 2007 by SEALgep

kwolf68
This is one of the many reasons when Mark Buehrle finally hangs em up, he will be revered in Chicago forever instead of given a nice passing thought as he strolled through the city on his way to 'bigger and better things.' When Chicago fans think the players really love and respect the city, the fans give the love back 10-fold. Ask Mike Ditka (a native Pittsburger), a man who embraced the city and its ethic and even though he become a mediocre coach after 1986, he is still considered by many (including myself) a hero to the city, a hero for playing on the 63 Champions, coaching the 85 champions and always speaking of Chicago like it was the greatest place on earth. Kudos to Mark...excited he continues his career in Chicago.
southsider2k5
None of that surprises me a bit. Mark is such as class act.
max power
Everybody loves this damned(j/k) town, apparently. Dye(maybe to a lesser extent because of an off year), Kong, Buehrle . . . Zambrano.

shoota
For some reason I keep reading the title of this thread as, "Buehrle speaks love for Cintron."
