Wanne
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=270818115 Micah Owings was the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. He went 4-for-5 with two home runs, four runs and six RBIs and got the win on the mound, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out seven over seven innings. He is the first pitcher with four hits, four runs and six RBIs in the same game.
knightni
They should let him play 1b or OF a few times a week.
danman31
He was a good two way guy in college and could have been drafted as a hitter.
BearSox
like I said in a different thread, he'd play LF for us... he out produced Podsednik in one game. Edited August 19, 2007 by BearSox
BearSox
oh yeah, I forgot to mention this, but all 3 homers of his this season haven't been cheap shots... they've been bombs.
Dick Allen
He's batted 44 times this year. He has 3 less extra base hits and 2 less RBI than Richar and Owens combined.

daa84
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) Or Gunter. i think the cubs drafted owings and then he decided to go back to school and transferred to tulane...heh i bet the cubs wish they were able to sign him
hammerhead johnson
QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 02:31 AM) heh i bet the cubs wish they were able to sign him Well, let's not act like he's some hot commodity that people are picking him up in fantasy leagues or whatever. He's still kind of a scrub, for all intents and purposes. His ERA was up over 5.00 coming into August. His WHIP, BAA, and K/9IP numbers don't do anything for me. And yeah, I printed out the minor league numbers and wiped my ass with them.
ChiSox_Sonix
Micah's at it again. Arizona/Pittsburgh is currently in a delay in the 6th but Owings has a 4 hit shutout going right now. Oh, and he's also 4-4 with 3 2B, 1 R and 3 RBI. he's now hitting over .330 on the year with 4 HR and 15 RBI. (This is in ~60 ABs)
knightni
Some AL team needs to get him as a SP/DH.

I didnt miss his ERA and WHIP though. If he can get around LH hitters and walk less guys, he could be a nice piece of the rotation.
