Molto
it seems so. I'm upset at giving up Jimenez, because unlike many here, I liked him, but we are trying to do some things and with Harris and Miles still here, I can handle losing Jimenez IF Everett is used in the right spot, DH. I agree I liked DJ also, but I'm happy that we did get a power hitting lefty.

I am with you Molto, except I would like to see Maggs in CF and Everett in RF, in case Konerko starts hitting and we put Frank back at DH... witesoxfan
DJ is a s***head, and if I heard Dick Bremer correctly, he wanted out now that we added Alomar.
Jim Fainter
Trust me, Molto, Jiminez won't be missed.
Molto
I think Harris and Rowand should stay in center for defensive/energy/speed purposes. so the lineup should be like this: 2B-Alomar CF-Rowand/Harris 1B-Thomas RF-Ordonez DH/LF-Everett LF/DH-Lee SS-Valentin 3B-Crede C-Olivo also, I would have Daubach play DH from time to time and have Everett in CF with Lee in LF. I wonder where this leaves Konerko the rest of the season?
Jim Fainter
Gammons specifically said three prospects. That word should not include Jiminez.

Chisoxfn
s***, I get back from the airport and this is what I come home to I sure hope Cotts isn't a part of it. In the Alomar trade we gave them Ring for Robbie and they pay everything. Sounds like a good deal to me. Now this Everett deal is interesting, if Jimenez is the only good guy in the deal, then I'm happy, but if its Cotts and him I'm worried. Either way, this team is making a HUGE push. witesoxfan
if Jimenez is the only good guy in the deal Jas, did you just use the word "good" to describe Jimenez? The only thing of his that is good is his bat, and when he gets in a funk, he is no good. He strikes out way too much, he doesn't walk enough, he is too slow, he has little range, he has bad baseball instincts, his glove is questionable, his work ethic is bad, and he is not a good teammate according to the stories I've heard. Now Cotts is a different story....
