thedoctor
yeah, that was started a few years ago when things were grim. iirc, it was one of the regular bear message board posters who started the page, and for awhile it was a popular topic among those posting on that board. looks kind of silly now, though. rangercal
he has Jerry Angelo success-o-meter: 27-37 (2002-2005 cumulative records) I think he has to update that one.
RockRaines
QUOTE(rangercal @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 10:36 AM) he has Jerry Angelo success-o-meter: 27-37 (2002-2005 cumulative records) I think he has to update that one. So the question being: Who is more responsible for the Bears success, Jerry or Lovie
StrangeSox
A little bit of both. Lovie has done very well with the talented staff JA has assembled.
knightni
They better both thank their lucky stars for Urlacher.
thedoctor
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) So the question being: Who is more responsible for the Bears success, Jerry or Lovie although i'm a big lovie fan, i'd probably give more credit to angelo. he made a few mistakes early on, but since then he's been pretty much dead-on on the great majority of his acquisitions, whether it's been the draft, trades, or free agency. plus, although ted phillips gets more credit, he at least gets a little love for having the bears be one of the best team's in the league when it comes to managing the cap. Rds 4-7 is considered a crapshoot by many. But for Jerry, he finds a lot of diamonds in the rough. rangercal
Edit: Sorry for the bad spacing on that post. Didn't mean for it to come out looking like that.

rangercal
QUOTE(farmteam @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 02:28 PM) Man, that 04 draft was sweet. The 2003,2004 and 2006 drafts are a HUGE reason for the great position the Bears Franchise is in. Hopefully, Benson proves to be a decent pick at #4 and Grossman keeps improving. I also have high hopes for the 2007 class.
