IndySoxFan
It's exciting..... I'll give you that. I just hope KW hasn't bankrolled our future for a one-shot at the playoffs deal. hell, why wouldn't he.... he will be gone by the time the s*** hits the fan.... this reminds me of joe gibbs selling out the redskins future for a shot at the super bowl
CubKilla
i dont care who we give up...go back to '00 when the sox we rated the best farm system in baseball...how many of those so called cant missed prospects that we had back then never made it or are gone now...eventually you have to get to a point where if you plan to win it all you have to deplete your minor league system to get you quality major leaguers to put you over the top..if it doesnt work out we can trade these guys for other teams prospects and start over...but at some point you have to take the chance and go for it or you never quit rebuilding..im glad to see the sox brass feels this is the time...ill back any moves made to better this team for this season KW..... is that you using Baggio's SN? baggio202
I don't think he has, but we're going to find out soon. what future??..our minor league system was mediocre at best..im surprised we had 6 quality prospects to get us guys like alomar and everett.. Chisoxfn
I'm going on five hours of sleep, just got back from the Sox game, and am multi-tasking like hell to find out the three prospects. I feel like a GM right now, woohoo. Oh ya Cerb, read Moneyball, damn I lost a lot of respect for Beane.
CWSOX45
I'd like to see the Sox keep Cotts, Wing and Honel. If we gave them Borchard too I'll be kinda pissed. CWSOX45

I actually think having big, impact players is more important....I'd rather have Joe B, Kris Honel, Neil Cotts(assuming he isn't traded), and Ryan Wing pan out and dominate while having the rest of them just f***ing suck, then having 10-15 guys pan out and be solid ball players and see Joe B, Honel, Cotts, and Wing flop. If both would happen....I'd be in f***ing heaven. But I see your point. It is atleast worth trying to do it then just sit on your ass and do nothing. You hype your guys and you keep the ones your really like and move the ones that have a lot of value yet may not be as valuable to you. I do think Cotts is VERY valuable to this organization and I really hope he isn't going anywhere.
