Eggy is gonna be twice the Buccholz Clay ever was. Failing that, Garry Bakker is for sure the future.

Calderon
Actually, "our Clay Buchholz" tonight was Birmingham's Ryan Wing, who took a no-hitter into the 8th.
Flash Tizzle
Looks like Great Falls has all but guaranteed themselves a playoff birth, leading 9-1 in the 7th. Great start from Poreda -- 5IP, 3H, 1ER, 0BB, 7K's. I'd have to assume the development of his secondary pitches has moved along well. Gregory Pratt
Sisco still can't get his control over and I'll bet some of the guys he's getting away with getting counts on are guys who would be more than happy to take a walk in the ML. Ugh.
fathom
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Sep 2, 2007 -> 02:15 PM) Sisco still can't get his control over and I'll bet some of the guys he's getting away with getting counts on are guys who would be more than happy to take a walk in the ML. Ugh. I heard that Sisco was awful last night, but was helped out by a gigantic strike zone and a hungover Bulls team.
ILMOU
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Sep 2, 2007 -> 01:47 AM) Bourgeois (the one who the organization hates) 2-4, BB, R, 2B Wing was outstanding. As previously stated had a no-no thru 7. 7.2 IP 1 H 0 R 0 ER 2 BB 6 SO Russell was horrid. Why does the org not see this guy as a prospect? Is he really much different from relatively late-bloomers like Theriot and Fontenot for the Scrubs? Has Russell done anything to deserve a promotion, besides continuing to be large? Any idea of Wing's potential to be a MLB prospect? Just looking for some insight from the "experts" DLS IS the future - hopefully a starter in '
DBAHO
What are Wing's total numbers at now? He's had an excellent comeback season. There may be some hope for him yet. Good to see DLS and Poreda have excellent starts as well. The pitching side of our minor league system doesn't look too bad right now. It's completely the opposite for our position prospects though.
