RockRaines
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2007 -> 08:00 PM) He has got to learn a cut fastball. A 90 mph straight fastball won't cut it in the Cell. You and I have talked at length about how bad his mechanics got once May went by the board. They have gotten worse every month. I honestly want him shut down for the year. 29andPoplar
hes thrown a few changeups that have really impressed me, i thought it was a fringe type pitch, with his curve and fastball being bread and butter, but he has shown a good change if he can command it, and nice movement on the fastball Crazy thought, you wonder if Broadway has a better future as a middle reliever / long reliever than a starter. Obviously too soon to tell but ... Edited September 12, 2007 by 29andPoplar

SoxAce
Broadway gives up a run even though it was on Thornton. EDIT: And Jerry Owens. Edited September 12, 2007 by SoxAce
fathom
It's a changeup by Broadway, not a splitter. Matt Thornton doing his best to keep us tied with Tampa after tonight. Oh, and Cecil Cooper is as bad of a manager as Phil Garner was.

fathom
This is someone I usually don't criticize too much, but how does Don Cooper justify having a job after the horrible performance by so many of our pitchers the last two seasons? More than anyone, he's living off of 2005.
SoxAce
If we lose, (which is looking very, very likely) we'll have sole position of last place for the first time all season if I'm not mistaken.

southsideirish71
Andy should be running foul poles after the game. Thats what you would have to do in high school if you messed up a play like that. Its one thing if you cant get the ball out, its another if you are so gun shy you cant pull the trigger.
