WilliamTell
I don't know if I've ever been more interested in National League baseball as I am in this series.

RockRaines
Nice prediction by the broadcasters, dont give it to him low and inside, Lohse does, and there goes the ball.
Brian
Charlie Manuel does know that Kyle Lohse sucks, right? My bad, it's Jose Mesa in now. Edited October 4, 2007 by Brian

BHAMBARONS
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 02:17 PM) Wow, the Rocks just keep on rolling. Rockies-D'backs NLCS? While a disaster for the ratings, that is a good thing for baseball. That is true but I love watching the Rox's play. A lot of people have underestimated them. Linnwood
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 05:17 PM) Wow, the Rocks just keep on rolling. Rockies-D'backs NLCS? While a disaster for the ratings, that is a good thing for baseball. On some level I would like to see COL/ARI NLCS & LAA/CLE ALCS with either COL/CLE or ARI/CLE in the World Series just so Fox has really s***ty ratings for the third year in a row. Maybe, just maybe, MLB would get the memo to Fox, EPSN, et al to hype promote more than just East Coast teams for the sake of the game. Casual sports fans will tune in and watch if they know who the hell is playing.

Kalapse
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 03:01 PM) I think it's pretty clear Rollins is the MVP as is, but when you look at Holliday's Coors Field/away splits, it becomes even more obvious that Rollins should win the award. 2004 HOME: 1.009 OPS, 10 HR, 31 XBH AWAY: .654 OPS, 4 HR, 17 XBH 2005 HOME: 1.002 OPS, 12 HR, 29 XBH AWAY: .729 OPS, 7 HR, 21 XBH 2006 HOME: 1.132 OPS, 22 HR, 48 XBH AWAY: .818 OPS, 12, 36 XBH 2007 HOME: 1.157 OPS, 25 HR, 58 XBH ALSO: 4 HR in 14 ABs (nearly a 2.000 OPS) @ Citizens Bank Park (no more than 1 HR at any other park) AWAY: .860 OPS, 11 HR, 34 XBH So he's a pretty decent offensive player when playing away from Coors/CBP but when hitting at either stadium he becomes a monster. I'll be legitimately upset if this man wins the MVP. Coors is such a joke, a cavernous stadium that plays like a bandbox. Doubles, triples and homeruns galore. If this bothers you then definitely avoid Tulo's splits as well.
SoxAce
I think some people forgot there was a game on today. Rockies are 3 outs away from advancing to the NLCS. Rockies-D-Backs matchup should be quite interesting.
SoxAce
What a game that was. Rockies going to the NLCS!!! They won (including reg. season) 17 of their last 18. Unbelievable.
Big Hurtin
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Oct 7, 2007 -> 12:39 AM) I think some people forgot there was a game on today. Rockies are 3 outs away from advancing to the NLCS. Rockies-D-Backs matchup should be quite interesting. That SHOULD be a GREAT series. Also, since the wild card and divisional series started, have there ever been 4 sweeps in that round?
Big Hurtin
QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Oct 7, 2007 -> 12:57 AM) That SHOULD be a GREAT series. Also, since the wild card and divisional series started, have there ever been 4 sweeps in that round? According to ESPN, this was the first time the national league swept the divisional series round, so that answers that.
