Anyone who has been watching the baseball playoffs. Has anyone seen that Gillespie Chevy hired a homeless crackhead (Ronnie Woo Woo) as their new spokesperson? Are you freaking kidding me?

You mean a business trying to possibly cash in on the "lemming'-mindedness of Cub fans surprises you????

I'm surprised it wasn't tried before

Seriously. Since Ronnie is basically unemployed, I am sure he could be had for next to nothing, and that fan base is a perfect target.

Nothing like using a homeless crackhead as the face of your business.

I never really had the urge to punch triplets before their commercials...

It's really, REALLY hard not to think triplets are cute. Those girls are like nails on a chalkboard.

Ya'll are talking about it, so it must be effective.

It is annoyingly effective. The thing I dont appreciate is that if I owned my own business, i would really respect the image that I project to the public. I want the image of my company to be equal to that of my character and my company's values. All Gillespie is telling me is that they are desperate, weak willed, and willing to hire a crack head to drive up just a little bit of business. Shock marketing like theirs that draws negative attention towards your business is not something I would personally take part in.

Which would be powerful except pretty much you would never own a Chevy. :lolhitting

They signed him for a half a can of Mr. Pibb and three Red Vines.

Since 1990, most of Wickers' income has come from washing windows in the neighborhood around Wrigley Field. He also makes paid appearances at parties and has starred in local commercials.[1] In 2000, two Wrigleyville bar owners organized a much-publicized fundraiser to provide Wickers with a new pair of dentures.[2]

per wikipedia.
