NorthSideSox72
QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 8, 2007 -> 06:06 PM) Agreed, they just showed his hand and there was no mark or redness. Basically impossible if you get hit by a 94 MPH pitch. Redness or an external discoloration isn't necessarily going to happen at all. Depends on the injury, and how soon after you see it. And looking at the last replay, it looks like it hit both his hand and the bat. That being the case, if he is getting out of the way of a pitch, then it can be an HBP. witesoxfan
I think Torre is hopeless at this point. George is out to get him, the umps f*** him, and the Indians are getting lucky hits while ARod can't hit Paul f***ing Byrd. So, bring Mussina in and let him get rocked. Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 12:40 AM) Even though he gave up a homer - he looked like he was throwing a bit too hard - Wang looks so good already. It could be a really long night for the Indians offense. Or nottttt
WhiteSoxfan1986
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 8, 2007 -> 05:57 PM) Umm, I believe the Yankees said that they were going to take the kid's gloves off with Joba in the postseason, and I'm sure he'll be alright. My point was that he won't be used to pitching that much. They wouldn't let the guy pitch back to back days during the regular season, you don't kow how he'll react pitching 3-4 innings in a 2 day span. I don't doubt they'll bring him in though. C'mon tribe, break this thing wide open.

whitesoxfan99
Huge pitch by Mussina there. If they can get out of this only giving up 1 they won't be in bad shape at all with Byrd on the mound.

No. He didn't forget how to pitch more than one inning and in short notice because he was babied in the season.

witesoxfan
LOL, I have the Indians winning, but this is ridiculous. I almost feel bad for the Yankees. Key word there is almost, because I'd never feel bad for the Yankees.

NorthSideSox72
I'm actually in New York right now. I was out at a pub earlier having dinner, watching the crowd develop to watch the game. I thought about asking the bartender to but Monday Night Football on, just to see how the Yankees fans reacted. Unfortunately, I was seriously outnumbered. Unfortunately, I was seriously outnumbered. I met a British tourist who was going to be in NY/Boston around playoff time but he didn't tell me when, exactly. I told him if he was there while they played home games, he should go, especially to Yankee Stadium. They have some interesting traditions in that part of the park. There is one they do with the YMCA song. Make sure you wear your sox/Atlanta hat.
