CWSGuy406
If Cleveland wins this game, Wedge's gamble to go with Byrd will pay off huge -- it let's Sabathia - Carmona to get (possibly) four starts in the ALCS. If the score holds, BTW, this could have the makings of a classic ALCS. Both teams will be on enough rest so that their ace will pitch twice during the series. Go Tribe. WhiteSoxfan1986
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 8, 2007 -> 08:48 PM) really? You think George drops him tonite? I meant after this game. I should have been more specific. Although it wouldn't suprise me if George actually canned him tonight. Good move by Wedge not messing around. Let Perez and Betancourt get the job done. witesoxfan
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 8, 2007 -> 07:44 PM) I absolutely HATE Tony Gwynn's voice. annoying voice, good knowledge I'll take Gwynn every day and then some over Tim McCarver. Tony Gwynn's voice is annoying because it's annoying; McCarver's a dumbass, and then his voice sounds just stupid because he's a dumbass. I will take a top 10 hitter of all time () over McCarver's dumbass every day no matter how he sounds.

CWSGuy406
Chip Carey is still as brilliant as he was when he was with the Cubbies. "A-Rod hits a bomb to left... did he get enough?" He might actually be worse than Joe Buck, if that's even possible.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 8, 2007 -> 08:44 PM) Chip Carey is still as brilliant as he was when he was with the Cubbies. "A-Rod hits a bomb to left... did he get enough?" He might actually be worse than Joe Buck, if that's even possible. I know this isn't a popular opinion around here, but, I am OK with Buck. In fact, with the right partner in the booth, I think he has at times been good.

witesoxfan
2 teams down, 1 to go, and then I can rest easy about the MLB playoffs. Problem is, I don't see Boston losing.
Kalapse
People tend to forget that Arod also walked twice in this series. I haven't heard anyone in the media mention these walks so I'll just assume that they didn't count.
SoxAce
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 8, 2007 -> 11:12 PM) 2 teams down, 1 to go, and then I can rest easy about the MLB playoffs. Problem is, I don't see Boston losing. I do. That's why I picked Cleveland to win the series and eventually the W.S. A bit biased of course cause I picked him but I still see them winning, but this will be a great series.
