Gregory Pratt
See, this is the problem with some people. They can't figure two things at once. Rodriguez AND Jeter had bad post-seasons.
Kyyle23
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 08:53 AM) See, this is the problem with some people. They can't figure two things at once. Rodriguez AND Jeter had bad post-seasons. New York has to put all of the blame on one person, and it seems the rest of the world has to follow suit. There can be only one....... NorthSideSox72
With all the talk about Jeter and A-Rod, what is being missed is that Cleveland was and is just a better baseball team.
Gregory Pratt
I haven't missed that fact. I just don't want anybody to pretend that Rodriguez had a good postseason, I don't care if his OPS is technically .800 because of a couple of walks. CWSGuy406
An article about Chip Caray's general awful-ness this series. I don't remember listening to Caray for a four-game stretch like I did during this series, but he ranks right up there with Brenneman, Buck and DJ as guys who f***in' suck. http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/...dcast_booth_rr/

Well Cleveland has a much better starting rotation, a much better bullpen, is a better defensive team (although that's not saying much, Cleveland isn't great and NY is awful), and has a lineup that can at least tread water with the Yanks. But besides those small details, the Yankees obviously choked. One day people will get the fact that talent, not payroll, determines the best teams.
