Mr. Showtime
According to MLB.com the Charles Johnson for Mike Hampton and a cast of others is a done deal.
witesoxfan
Charles Johnson reversed his decision, accepting the trade. I read about it on Yahoo! Baseball....I misread it at first, or they changed it under my nose...one or the other. I'd expect both teams to be right around .500 next year. Both teams have the potential to be 90 game winners, IMO.

The Critic
Hampton got dealt to Atlanta for Snoopyburger or whatever his name is. Announcement coming Monday, according to espn.
aboz56
Are the Braves stupid? Spooneybarger is a stud who would've taken over at closer for Smoltz. I guess they are banking that Hampton is gonna be good, which I am highly skeptical of. Advantage: Marlins
Chisoxfn
I knew Hampton was gonna get moved immediately. Well, Marlins did real good, imo, but the Braves did pretty good too, cause Hampton will replace Glavine. Think of it this way, they got a whole lot younger with the move, although they did give up a prospect. I do think Hampton will figure things out.
