witesoxfan
That little bit Kevin Millar did at the end of the pre-game show was a joke. "Let's go Sox!"...? WTF is that s***? You are supposed to provide a neutral broadcast, and that is about the furthest away from neutral as you can get. If anything, atleast let someone from Cleveland do a bit about the Indians too. Kid Gleason
Did he just throw his helmet off on his way to home? It sure looked like. I guess he doesn't care to go into home on a dive then.

IlliniKrush
MLB has to do two things this winter: Make parks change their fences so home runs can't be this ridiculously controversial. I'm talking about railings, metal bar fences on top of the normal fences, wall edges behind the yellow line, etc. Instant replay on home runs only. Not that it would have helped tonight's call, but how an umpire is supposed to see something like that in real time from hundreds of feet away is beyond me. The way that ball came back I call it no HR as well, even if it hit the other wall behind the yellow line on the corner and kicked back in, which seems plausible. witesoxfan
Kenny probably told Beckett that he also enjoyed Danielle Peck.

whitesoxfan101
Boston's 1 man pitching rotation is impressive, but he doesn't pitch again this series. At least he got it back to Boston and kept things interesting though.
Harry Chappas
QUOTE(Whitewashed in '05 @ Oct 18, 2007 -> 09:19 PM) What happened earlier in the game? They just showed the benches clearing. I must have missed it. Lofton thought he drew a walk and flipped his bat and was called back as the pitch was a strike. Beckett was yelling at him and Lofton said something back. It stemmed from the Dice-K game and Varitek and Lofton jawing as Lofton wouldn't get in the box. He then homered. A couple of things from watching the game last night; Great pitchers are awesome to watch. Man Beckett was filthy. Sabathia was on the ropes most of the night and Boston kept letting him go. Buck and McCarver were praising him a little too much. The umpire's strike zone was really tight. Manny is really good ever when he halfasses it. Ortiz has a really, really good baseball IQ. The inside-out swing to left was great. I wonder if Thome saw that. This after he flashed the bunt. I wish Lofton would've dropped the fly ball he made the basket catch on. Dice - K, Drew, Lugo and Crisp are not nearly worth the money they get. These guys would cripple any other team. Lugo and Crisp look really bad right now. How does Boston produce incredible young talent not only their own (Pedroia, Youkilas, Ellsbury, Papelbon, Buchholz) but Freddy Sanchez, Anibel Sanchez, and Hanley Ramirez. I am not really sold on Cleveland. Their bullpen is not as concrete as it appears. Sizemore and Sabathia are studs but Martinez and Hafner could age some. Carmona could have a set back next year. They are solid though. McCarver has just about lost it. Buck is just as bad. I hate FOX, they have s*** graphics, terrible announcers and braodcasters and the breaks kill me. What are are the baseball promos intended to do? Get me to watch baseball..................while I am watching baseball. They really like to dump on Manny while Manny is carrying the team. Sorry for my man crush on Manny but he is fun to watch hit. Edited October 19, 2007 by Jenks Heat
The Ginger Kid
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 18, 2007 -> 09:08 PM) Boston's 1 man pitching rotation is impressive, but he doesn't pitch again this series. At least he got it back to Boston and kept things interesting though. I think it's more than that - I think the momentum has shifted and Schilling will win tonight. And I wouldn't have a lot of faith in Westbrook on the road in game 7. Even with a 3-2 lead, I think cleveland's in trouble. And I stand by my prediction that Peralta will make a significant error in these playoffs.

And I'm feeling that the Red Sox somehow have the advantage still.

Big Hurtin
Cleveland's all done. They got their collective tails firmly between their legs. Bent right over for Boston, no fight whatsoever.

Big Hurtin
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 09:00 PM) Right. They've got no killer instinct and the Red Sox do. They will not win this series. Also, Ryan Garko is an idiot.
RockRaines
Cle just doesnt seem to have that extra gear that WS winners have.
Gregory Pratt
"Extra gear"? I guess they're missing a Darin Erstad or Aaron Rowand? I don't know if they'll win or not, but it'll have less to do with "desire" or "passion" or "extra gear" than anything else. Big Hurtin
It looks like he's pitching scared. Maybe it's that he doesn't have his stuff, but he's nibbling. You can't do that, especially with Boston.
RockRaines
Cle is folding under the pressure. Hafner is laying a huge egg in this series. They look very wide-eyed out there.

CWSGuy406
Choke? Hilarious. These are the two best teams in baseball facing off against each other. Both lineups are extremely tough. Yeah, they're might be some nerves at work here but I love that it can never just be one team is better than the other (on that night) -- there's always got to be a side story. If someone would've told me before the series that it didn't go six or seven games, I would've been shocked.
Big Hurtin
If it's not a choke job, then they aren't that good. You can't have it both ways. 10 to 1 after 4 innings is hardly a marginal difference.

I don't even have a clue what you're trying to get at at this point, other than the sports radio caller mentality of, "THEY'RE CHOKING!". It's not choking, it's losing a baseball game to a f***ing damn good team.
