StatManDu Posted October 18, 2007 Share Posted October 18, 2007 Juan Uribe's stolen base "success" rate of .100 (1-for-10) in 2007 was the worst by far in White Sox history for a player with at least 10 attempts in a season. ... Zeb Terry of the 1921 Vermin went 1 for 13, Jose Vizcaino of the 1994 Mets and Eddie Yost of the 1957 Senators went 1 for 13. Our Juan was matched by Bobby Doerr, 1 for 10 with the 1939 Red Sox. By the way, Bobby Doerr is in the Hall of Fame. Thats it, out of 7,768 players who attempted 10 or more steals in years entering the 2007 season. This off season he should have time to be in a little better shape than last year..... as your remember he spent a lot of time last year sitting waiting in the court room.
