jackie hayes
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 11:43 PM) Now that's a sign that the Rockies time may have run out. No way -- not with the great stopper Josh Fogg taking the ball next...
BearSox
Josh Fogg is going to throw 81 pitches in his start. Not surprisingly, all 81 pitches will be strikes and he will have 27 K's.
jackie hayes
QUOTE(BearSox @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 11:50 PM) Josh Fogg is going to throw 81 pitches in his start. Not surprisingly, all 81 pitches will be strikes and he will have 27 K's. Cole Hamels keeps a picture of Josh Fogg under his hat for inspiration. DonkeyKongerko
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 11:06 PM) Has a team ever got swept by a team in the NLDS that got swept by a team in the NLCS that got swept by a team in the World Series? This is the first time that even the first two things have happened so no.
WhiteSoxfan1986
Is it just me, or when Joe Buck was talking about the success of Boston sports didn't he say "the White Sox made the world series." I swear he said White Sox instead of Red Sox.
WhiteSoxfan1986
QUOTE(BearSox @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 10:37 PM) It baffles me how Ikojima does so good. He doesn't really have any stuff, it's just that he that head jerk and I guess that throws all the hitters off... Well, time for Holliday to run the party. He won't be near as good next year. Those Japanese guys are good for a couple of years than fall apart. AKA Shingo, Hideo Nomo.

Linnwood
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 26, 2007 -> 01:03 AM) Is it just me, or when Joe Buck was talking about the success of Boston sports didn't he say "the White Sox made the world series." I swear he said White Sox instead of Red Sox. Joe Buck is a f***ing moron. I shocked he actually differentiated by color, instead of just "The Sox." Kalapse
Speaking of Joe Buck, did I actually hear him say that Todd Helton, over the course of his career, has been just as good on the road as he has been at home? Seriously? Does he do even the slightest bit of research? Since when is 1.128 ~ .896? He's a career .367 hitter at home which I guess is pretty close to his career .295 road AVG though rounding up 72 points does seem a bit disingenuous. What a f***ing joke. Linnwood
Here is hoping that Fox gives him a late night talk show (as is rumored) to get him the hell out of the booth. Edited October 27, 2007 by Linnwood

fathom
This is shaping up to be the least entertaining WS I can remember. This has to be one of the biggest mismatches in WS history.
Kalapse
Can anyone find the league averages for runs per game over the past 10 years? I'm thinking scoring has been down league wide since the mid to late 90's which would make the numbers Fox keeps throwing at us about Coors moot. And if Coors isn't a f***ing power house anymore than why do we see such staggering home/road splits from guys like Helton, Holliday, Tulowitzki and Matsui? ANSWER ME JOE BUCK YOU COWARDLY FOOL!!! RME JICO
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 27, 2007 -> 06:37 PM) This is shaping up to be the least entertaining WS I can remember. This has to be one of the biggest mismatches in WS history. This has to be the worst. The teams are not even close. Just another flawed example of the playoff system. All a team has to do is play average ball all year, then get hot at the right time. I would've rather seen the Mets or Phillies in there. RME JICO
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 27, 2007 -> 07:30 PM) It worked for the Cardinals last year The Tigers completely blew that one. The Cardinals had the lowest winning percentage of a World Series winner ever. The Twins in 1987 had 85 wins. They also had the lowest winning percentage of a World Series participant since the Mets in 1973 (82 wins). That is how rare that is.
