On my long drives home and to SIU, I would entertain myself by yelling at other drivers. Some of the profanities out of mu mouth would prevent me from running for pres if recorded.

I made that drive one too many times, I didnt think it was that bad though. Once you get on 57 for the most part it was always wide open. Then you have amazing scenery to look at like, a prison, a huge cross...and thats about it.

its been a while since I made the drive...Im glad to hear there are still the cornfields

And that's about it. The prison is a nice touch though. I've gotten used to the ride but I still have to hop myself up on energy drinks just to stay alert cause it's so damn boring.

When you are at the gym running on the treadmill and with all of the open treadmills a person with too much cologne or perfume decides to workout on the machine next to you. After a few minutes, you feel like you are about to choke from a chemical weapon.

The lady begging for money who used to be at Higgins and 290, who is now at Highland and Butterfield. She holds a sign, need help children girl 4 and boy 9. Well the boy should be 16 by now, and the girl should be 11 as she has been using the same sign and gimmick for the last 7 years.

In that same group are the people that don't walk a straight line. You start to walk past them and they start "merging" left. So, you switch to the right and now they're going that way!

yeah or anyone who tries to read the f***in paper/crackberry while walking or even worse text messaging while walking. Are you kidding me?? Are you in your own world...it's fricken rush hour.

oh yeah...and this stuff still pisses me off

People who wear hats while playing basketball.

Not really a pet peev but at the gym where I play, there is this older guy and everytime we are on opposite teams, he wants to guard me and I end up going off on me. I always try and stay away from him because he doesn't know how to box out. Instead of boxing out, he pushes me back in mid jump or jams his butt just above my knees and almost hyper extends them. Then if I am under the basket rebounding he comes and pushes me in my thigh trying to do a late box out. The guy is older and shouldn't even be playing. Not sure why he keeps trying to guard me either.

People who go to the gym and talk on their cell phones.

Ah yes, the gym, here we go:

People who work out in jeans.

People who wear sunglasses while working out.

Couples that hug and kiss while they work out together.

People who read while on the treadmill or stationary bike. If you have enough focus and concentration to retain anything you're reading, then you're not working out hard enough. Go home and free up the treadmill for someone who is ready to work hard.

Guys that 'super set' on 4 different stations at once.

Guys that shave in the nude at the gym. I don't shave in the nude at home, why the f*** would I do it at the gym??

People who drive 30 in a 40

People who dont go right on red (when it's legal)

When you're in the bathroom at the sink or urinal and someone walks in to use the stall and lets just say they dont hold back or wait till you leave...i just find that it makes it kind of an awkward situation (don't act like you dont know what i'm talking about)

I forgot about the naked locker room types.

Things that shouldnt be done in the locker room nude:

shaving

hair

talk on phone

chemical application of whatever is in that little black travel bag that smells like my grandpa

walk around conversating

air drying

People who don't turn their shoulder when you're passing each other close. I figure I would knock around about 10 people just on my way to and from work. I always think that...like what would these people do if I just walked straight as well? Do I have a sign on my head that says...I will move so you can continue on your self righteous path unobstructed?? The one problem I have is probably 75% of the time it's women that do this and I don't want to bowl them over.

I will say I retaliated once to a guy who was texting or reading something on his crackberry or something. He was walking straight at me, looking down...so I just kept walking straight as well. He never looked up so I moved a little so I wouldn't run him straight over and I only hit the side of him. The poor bastard almost went to the ground...his blackberry flew out of his hand and got kicked around a couple times. He was like whoops, I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention and I was like I know. I felt kinda bad and good at the same time.

Sometimes when I have people walking right at me while they're having a convo with 3 other people and blocking the whole sidewalk I will just stop and let them run into me. I'm sorry, you can't walk 4 across downtown and have everyone just part like the red sea as you approach. The best is those people usually give me the dirty look. It's like look at the 9 feet you're taking up then look at the 1 foot you're giving me and you want me to make it 1/2 a foot?? Screw you lady!!!

That kind of stuff is why I like carrying my nice heavy backpack. People who don't want to share the sidewalk get smacked with that as a move my shoulders to avoid contact, leaving the backpack in their path instead.

You could start a whole new thread on gym pet peevs. Anyone else get naked guys stretching in the sauna?

Nope, but I get naked guy flat on his back with arms and legs all streched out in the sauna.

How about stink bomb? The guy you can smell halfway across the gym.
