WhiteSoxfan1986
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cu...bnews07.article Boy would that have pissed the Cub fans off.
Gregory Pratt
He also, per that article, saved Wrigley Field from DOOM.
whitesoxfan101
WOW, that article has two bombshells. It's a damn shame he saved Wrigley though, the Cubs would be drawing 25 thousand a game in a mediocre 1980's built ballpark in Mount Prospect or something if it wasn't for that. bschmaranz
I know you didn't just diss Mount Prospect. HOLD ME BACK!
Chombi
Yea Mt. Prospect isn't far from me. I would've perhaps grown up a Cub fan if it was there....That thought makes me very sick.
Mplssoxfan
I'm not doubting Uberroth's honesty or memory, but what a logistical nightmare that would have been. The Cubs - Padres Game Five ended in San Diego at about 6pm central time. If the Cubs had won, they would have hosted Game One of the World Series at about 7:15 on Tuesday. 49 hours to get every fan with a ticket for the game a new one plus sell about 15-20 thousand more? Let's say I'm highly skeptical.
