Jordan4life_2003
I was thinkin? What if Kornerko gets hot? I mean for hitting that hr he deserves a couple starts to try and get outta this funk. Thing is if he gets hot what happens to Daubach, who's been swinging the bat very well. I guess it's never a bad thing to have too many quality players. We'll see.... witesoxfan
I said it last night, and I'll say it again. You ride the hot bats. Right now, Carlos is not playing good baseball, or he is atleast not hitting the ball well. Aaron is. I can understand why you'd want to get Carl in the lineup, but in this case, I'd move Everett to LF and put Rowand in CF. You then have a very good bat coming off the bench, albeit a cold bat, late in the game if you need it. We have 11-13 guys who could make a very big contribution to the offense. We need to get them all regular playing time. You ride out the players who are hot and you have the ones who are not come off the bench late in the game. The hot ones get every game during the week, the guys who are hitting the ball, but not hot or cold, you give them a day or two off a week, and the ones who are cold you get them in a couple games a week and you get them some pinch-hitting, if possible. Right now, I'd have Daubach and Thomas at 1B and DH, I'd have Maggs in RF, Rowand in CF, Everett in LF, Alomar at 2B, Valentin at SS, Crede at 3B, and the two catchers catching. That leaves us with Lee, Konerko, Graffy, and Harris off the bench, and whoever else is not catching. As soon as someone cools off you put a guy in his place, and you continue to give guys everyday playing time. JM will be better at this, because he is the tinker master. This is just how I'd do it. We'd be getting the most out of our lineup. If Rowand and Harris are playing like s***....then yes, Everett gets CF. Right now, Aaron is actually hitting the ball very well. You can't take Lee out of the lineup. He was one of our top hitters over the month of June. We need to keep Everett in CF, for atleast a week. See IMO he needs to get a feel for CF again before we can judge his play(I don't think he played many games there over the last 2 years). clujer420
yep, indeed special - and witesoxfan should dig up his and my recent exchanges about this team being better because this team struggled and came together and bonded rather than if it were all a piece of cake - we struggled and never got out, we recovered and are very, very in it About 3 weeks ago I said this team was playing much better lately, and I received nothing but sarcastic replies. Should I dig that out?

clujer420
standing by... I post way too much. I can't seem to wade my way through the tons of posts and find it. I said it around the 1st week of June, I think after we blew the 3rd Giants game.

clujer420
you don't post too much and I recall that post you refer to, it was sheer genius and incredible insight! LOL, thanks. I think the reason it was met with sarcasm was because it was just after that tough SF series in which we lost 2 out of 3. But, you could just see that there was some shifting of the tides. They weren't winning a whole lot more, but they were scoring in situations where they hadn't been, and they weren't giving up like they'd been doing. Also, last night's game...I had to work, so I taped it. I had the timer set from 4-8 (Pacific), and thankfully it ended at around 7:50. A few more foul balls from Frank and I might have missed it. I've been taping every game, only to tape over it. This one will be saved.
Winning Ugly
PK Got "Jungle Karma" last night. Remember when I reported he was on Romey and had a great interview 2 days ago? Well, everyone that goes on Romey goes on a tear: Eric Byrnes Luis Gonzo Dontrell Willis Paul Konerko? We shall see....

But if you get interviewed by him, you will go on a tear. Also included in that list that Ugly put up could be AJ Pierzynski(he didn't get interviewed by him, but he did some little special thing for him). That night that it aired, AJ hit like 2 homers and drove in 7 RBI. How about he interviews the entire White Sox roster?
