What if Ritchie had been lights out and Wells, Fogg and Lowe all sucked, like Lowe did? People may not consider it a roll of the dice. However, he was faced with a task....we were probably going to need a lefty as Wunsch wasn't ready to pitch, so he went out and got one. He's a determined GM....maybe too determined. Awesome post. One thing I respect about KW is that when he sees a need for the team he goes out and gets it done. So far he's failed in who he's brought in here, but he's also made some good moves. Not only did the Sox get Marte, but they got the super speedy Edwin Yan who I truly compare to Castillo of the Marlins. Kw's not a great gm, he's simply average right now, and I do think he could turn into a very good gm, if he can learn how to build a major league team and that comes with experience. This is his 3rd year and nows the time for him to show he can do it.
