Catch-All Anything Thread

Just when you think you have seen all stupid things from people and computers.

I get a call that one of our sites is down at 5am. It turns out the security guard at the site brought in a hot cup of coffee, rested it on top of our layer 3 switch in that locations datacenter ( the brains of the network at this location) while he was putzing around. Well the water must of been lava hot because it melted through the cup, and of course the age old formula of water + running electronics = hilarity. The location is offline now because of Officer BarBrady and his 10 cent cup of Joe.

Murphy's law is giving me a kick in the nads today.

Booo for being left off Milkman's list. Guess I'll have to become a bigger Mr. Perfect fan.

And Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

There were LOTS of people in green shirts getting wasted in the city yesterday.

So when I woke up this morning, I knew I had posted on here last night even though I was hammered. I couldn't remember what thread I posted in, so I opened up a bunch of threads until I saw the post, and it was completely coherent. Kinda surprised considering the fact I couldn't even remember what I posted...

I went to class today drunk for the first time. Horrible idea, I feel like ass now.

And woohoo for making that list, I feel special.

Whenever I post drunk, the posts are always a long rambling paragraph where I usually start to argue, realize i dont have the attention span to finish the argument, and quickly summarize and finish. Then I scan the Stupid Hilarious videos thread so i can laugh.

I can pick out my drunk posts really easily, i always laugh at them. Its too bad we dont have some of the chat transcripts from the 2005 season, i was rarely sober when at the end of the season, and chat was totally out of control

i'm usually coherent, i'll just have no recollection of what i actually said.

I'll also wake up and not know what events were a part of the night and what was a dream.

Does officer barbrady get in trouble for this?

We use an outsourced service for physical security at a lot of our locations in that region. So Officer Barbrady works for X company, and it will be up to them to deal with him. Company X however owes us some money for the coffee issue. We will start for the 7k that the new switch will cost, and 1k for the professional services that my department rendered that location to bring them back online. Who knows what our legal team will hit them with for loss of productivity, they were down for a few hours. The odd thing is how this happened. Our Computer rooms at each location are only accessible by IS, or the Plant Manager. After doing some digging, Officer Barbrady decided to clone the Plant Managers access and decided that snooping in the previous off-limits areas was cool. If he had just followed normal procedure this would of never been an issue. That room itself is particularly cold and uncomfortable to work in, so I am a bit confused on what he was doing in there in the first place.

Haha, thanks... I'm just gonna ignore the latter comment :cheers

All I can say is that a person who has been to knoxville a few times, its a nice campus and the female contingent there is pretty amazing.

From an amazing campus talent question though, how Does anyone get through and graduate from Arizona State University.

He was getting laid. That's what people do in off limits areas. Duh. Computer nerd

Well before we bought the place it was a meat packing facility, so now it all makes sense.

So if we were playing Clue, it was the Rent-A-Cop (getting laid) in the Computer Room with the Coffee Cup?

God is mad at me. Know how I know? I have a temp ranging anywhere from 101.5-103 (and it was 104 when I woke up today) on the universal day for drinking. Needless to say, I didn't drink today with a fever that high, nausea, body aches, cold sweats, chills, headache, congestion in both my nose and my chest, and fatigue.

All I wanted was one green beer. I don't know if it would have stayed down though.

God and I are tight. This is your punishment for getting on my bad side last night.

P.S. - This is the sequel to last night for me.

I'm glad that the Herbert Perry sig got me on that list.
