HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 09:00 PM) What is a good website to look at polls? I rely on RealClearPolitics. But you have to be a careful consumer. They have some "fringe" polls that have been far from accurate.

DBAHO
Well great news that Hilary isn't winning. I'm impartial on either Edwards or Obama, so a pretty good result. I think you probably have to consider Obama the favorite right now. Will be interesting to see how the Clintons regroup after this. Quite the wake-up call. It's great that people in Iowa can look past race while casting a vote. It's very disturbing that people in Iowa REALLY like Mike Huckabee. vandy125
Pretty good turn out to this tonight. They were expecting 30-35 people where I was at. We ended up with 130! Pretty interesting process. I ended up as one of the delegates for the county.
Heads22
These exit polls are really interesting. Married people went to Clinton, single to Obama. Democrats went to Obama, not to anyone else as was maybe thought. Any independents and republicans were strongly Obama. Previous caucus goers? 43% yes (went to Edwards). 57% no (strongly Obama). http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries...ndex.html#IADEM

HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) So biggest winners and losers in both parties from tonight's result? Romney took a HUGE hit tonight. It's going to be hard for him to recover. McCain was a winner. he wasn't competing hard there, but landed 3rd and might win NH. Edwards... hmm... not sure. might be a looser. Clinton will hold strong in NH, but some Edwards supports might flock to Obama.

He is pulling the Bill Clinton model. He doesnt care about the first few states that he knows are smart. He'll concentrate on the other states and try to be the "9/11 guy" and hope they fall for it. Huckabee has the ability to tug on your heart strings, and then make you laugh a few words later. When Obama tries to be funny, it feels like hes trying too hard. Its just my opinion though. I can see what you mean. Obama tends to be more passionate when he speaks, but Huckabee is "emotional". Not the crying emotional, but the move your heart. Obama moves your body into action.
