Ross Perot tried to tell us this 16 years ago, but nobody wanted to listen. Nobody, meaning candidates, wants to tell us this today because they know we don't want to listen. Our kids and grandkids will have to deal with this eventually, and they'll curse us for putting on the blinders and maintaining the status quo.

Well, kinda right. you could argue this younger generation is in favor of massive changes but older people like the status quo.

You don't think the baby boomers didn't want massive changes? Go back and look at 1968. The boomers thought they could turn this nation into some sort of everybody's happy, all is great, utopia. You know, kind like what you hear from the southpaws today ... there should be no poverty, everybody should have top notch health care, etc. Well, the results are what we are dealing with today ... and generations of Americans will have to deal with. That's if we are lucky. This whole damn thing can very easily go right down the crapper. Basically, they/we f***ed it up.

Edited for grammar correction.
