YASNY
QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 11:50 PM) CC wins another. It's so fun to watch when he's not in the division. It would be fun to watch if he was in the division, but on the right team.

WhiteSoxfan1986
Two of this year's first round picks didn't sign (with the exception of Josh Fields, who was a senior), Aaron Crow and Gerrit Cole. The Crow thing is interesting because a some people on this board (including me) wanted Crow over Beckham.

Gregory Pratt
He's pitched a lot more innings with a better WHIP, many more Ks and only a marginally significant ERA difference. Lee has won more games on a bad team but Halladay's losses aren't exactly his fault. The defense and the offense have not come through for him at all. My hope is that Lee falls off a little in September while Halladay doesn't as I'd really like to see the Doc get another Cy Young Award. As it is I still think he deserves it over Lee. You give Halliday credit for a .04 better WHIP, yet Lee's 0.22 difference in ERA is only marginally significant?

Yeah, that's really selective on his part. Lee should definitely get it, as of this moment.

Leonard Zelig
There is a chance that all 5 AL East teams could finish over .500. Baltimore would have to play pretty well, but it's not unpossible. I wonder if that has ver happened before?

caulfield12
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Apk0...o&type=lgns Good article on Ludwick. With the seasons Quentin and Hamilton are having, he's kind of getting lost in the conversation a bit. One of those late-bloomers who finally flourishes (at age 29/30) when given a shot AND injury-free.
santo=dorf
Can't believe in less than 2 years, the Rangers gave up Volquez, Danks, and Armando Gallaraga. A few years before that they gave up Chris Young.
