southsideirish71
Welcome back from the DL Mr. Rodney. He just gave up a 3 run jack to John Bowker to give the Giants the lead in the bottom of the 8th. 6 -4 Giants. Lets go Giants. They scored 2 more on a ground rule double by Lewis. Then in the top of the 9th, heart attack time for the Giants. The tigers load the bases, Granderson hits a single drives in 2. Its 8-6 with 2 outs. Polanco gets thrown out for the 3rd out by a stop by Vizquel. Edited June 17, 2008 by southsideirish71
whitesoxbrian
Tribe lose, but the Tigers are up 4-1 in the 9th, KC won, and the Twins won. At least we gain a game on the Indians.
Benchwarmerjim
MLB 'fast play' ruling has its points. Getting temas like the BoSox and yankees to pick up the pace of play is a good thing, in my mind (especially when they play each other. 4 1/2 hour 9 innings games just bores me) But Tuesday afternoon, MLB fined Ron Gardenhire for 'slow play'. Its kinda rediculous because the Twins play the fastest games is baseball! (the average was something like 2:45) So of course, Tueday nights game against the Nats went a breezy 1:59 Edited June 18, 2008 by Benchwarmerjim
whitesoxbrian
Indians lose (again), but the Twins win (again), Tiggers win (again), and Royals win (again). At least we gain a game on the Tribe.
whitesoxbrian
Gain a half game on Detroit, Twins won, Royals won, and Cleveland is down 3 in the top of the 9th.
chw42
Let's not lose any ground today. Diamondbacks vs. Twins (Johnson vs. Baker) Tigers vs. Padres (Bonine vs. Maddux) I can care less what Cleveland does, they got swept by Colorado...

fathom
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 07:12 PM) Is Chris Young just a CF version of Josh Fields?? Hard to tell...he's still very young, and he brings the speed factor. However, he would drive us crazy if we had to watch him.
fathom
Wow, Twins are just amazing with RISP lately, as they got 5 against Webb in the 5th.
Gregory Pratt
Chris Young plays better defense at a more important defensive position than Fields. But offensively, I'd guess they wind up being similar, although I'm not sure Fields'll steal many bases. He could if he worked at it.
maggsmaggs
From 6.5 games to now just 2 games. Wow that lead was shrunk quickily.

chw42
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) Verlander has found his fastball again. He's consistently in the 96-97 mph range today. I heard Farmer and Stone say that against the Twins, Livan "The fatass" Hernandez yelled something to Verlander during the game that pissed him off. Then, Verlander started throwing faster. Damn you Livan, damn you!
