Are they ever gonna have an official press-confrence or I guess just wait until Soxfest to introduce him??

Are they ever going to officially announce the Ramirez signing? Is he on that list of numbers for White Sox players?

I think KW has one more suprising major move before Soxfest (At least i hope...) and a day or 2 before Soxfest KW will have ALL the new players in the city for a press conference. (Cabrera, Linebrink, Quentin, Swisher, Ramerez, [Colon, Bedard, Roberts?] )

QUOTE(The Beast @ Jan 16, 2008 -> 02:02 PM)
Can you elaborate?

I may buy a Nick Swisher jersey because hes one of my favorite players and was my favorite with the A's but they wanted to get some looks at Daric barton at first and Chris Denorfia at CF.

i know... unless kw decides to part ways with Fields of course. i doubt that would happen. i do however see Colon returning.

Am I the only one that would trade Fields and whoever is good in our minor league system for Bedard and Roberts in a heartbeat? That would be the biggest no-brainer of all-time as far as I'm concerned. I am of the opinion that Crede is going to be just fine following his surgery, so if Josh were the centerpiece of a huge trade, we'd basically be giving up nothing. Then you offer Crede a 4 year deal worth $50M, he takes it, and everyone lives happily ever after. We then would have one of the best lineups in baseball, and one of the most dominant pitchers anchoring our staff.

Now, I'm not naive - I know that it will never happen. But if the situation presented itself, it would be a very easy decision for KW and the Sox brass to make.

Gah...you seriously think Crede is worth $12.5 mill a year?
