What a night

I am tired and have no voice left this morning, but last night's game makes it all worth it. A beautiful night sitting in the bleachers with my brother, huge, RPS, and Guido. The place was rocking most of the night, and it was sweet to see Hunter come up short on stealing a homer for once (and get an earful from the bleachers), Alomar throwing some leather at 2B (see ya Jiminez), and Daubach continuing to heat up.

You could feel the energy evaporate when the twin s***s got that run in the 11th, and the place was pretty quiet. I saw several people get up and walk out after the first two outs in the Sox half of the 11th (man, did they miss out). At that moment, I told the guys around me that Paulie was gonna tie it up (no s***, ask RPS, I called it). A moment later the ball sailed about 5 rows in front of us in the next section. The noise in there was deafening. Then when Frank finished off the sweep, it was beyond deafening.

To top it off, after it ended they put Frank up on the scoreboard as he was being interviewed on the field, and everyone went nuts again. It was great to see him standing there with that huge smile as everyone showered him with cheers. I am glad to see him getting some love after all the crap he has endured the past few years. On the way out the ramp chants were in full force.

After sitting in hell for 2 1/2 months out there, these kind of games are that much sweeter. I hope to see many more.

It was something else, wasn't it? I think last night, and really this entire homestand, is going to be the one to remember for a lifetime.

By the way, Zach, no need to ask RPS, you're trusted, but I don't know if I trust that Irishman:)

I'm sure the usual number of chicks sitting by you and talking to you during the game was suspiciously absent while taking in the game with Maury and Guido  :lolhitting :headbang

Nah, the hot chicks were swarming Maury. Chicks dig the beer gut.
