Balta1701
QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 05:04 PM) Clinton's lead is disappearing, and I think she wins by only 10 points over Obama in a state where he didn't even campaign. That's not really a big help for her She's up by 20?

Rex Kickass
Clinton's lead now down to 18 points. The more interesting news is that there's just 7500 votes separating Romney and McCain.
Balta1701
McCain's lead is now 45,000 votes and growing. Clinton's lead is up to 21 points. Congrats folks, your next president will be either Hillary Clinton or John McCain.
NorthSideSox72
So Hillary decided to cheat, and there she is revelling in it. I really don't like her at all. Obama on the other hand is in Kansas City - right on the border between 2 key SDOGPEIT states - prepping for his little rally. If Clinton can't even get a South Carolina-like decisive win in FL, which it appears she won't, despite being the only one who made noises about Florida and having her name recognition... that's not good at all for her. She may well break 50%. 50-32, she's +18 right now. Obama won SC by what, 30 points? FL is almost irrelevant. Now, one thing that one of the CNN talking heads said is very true - Obama has shown he has a lot of the stuff to be Prez, but he needs to show a bit more toughness. He needs to come out of the gate tomorrow and go right after Clinton for her tactics. Drill her at the debate. That is what Obama needs at this point. Right now, she's up by about 250,000 votes, and that margin is growing as more votes are counted. Obama received 295,000 votes in South Carolina. Her margin of victory here could well beat South Carolina.

Add in a 9iu11ani endorsement of McCain and the associated momentum, regardless of McCain's lack of money and organization, Romney has nothing left, not even money, that is enough to close the big gap between him and McCain in the Super Tuesday states. He's done. Barring something incredibly stupid by McCain. Edited January 30, 2008 by Balta1701

He needs Huckabee to drop out, basically. Even with all his money, I don't think he can beat McCain+Giuliani on SDOGPEIT. He needs those evagelical votes with him. He's the golden boy of a certain segment of the media who thinks that everything would be great if we'd just listen to someone in the center, but he really hasn't put out anything remotely concrete in terms of national policy. Rex Kickass
Because he's not really running. He doesn't have the support, and wouldn't even win New York City, to be honest. Assuming Hillary grabs the nomination, he loses women big. McCain is seen as independent enough to not give Bloomberg the "moderate" opening he needs, and conservatives are not gonna run out to vote for John McCain. Bloomberg is not friends with Hillary. A Bloomberg candidacy means a Clinton victory. Don't think he doesn't know that.
