JDsDirtySox
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008...-speedster-pod/ Good Luck Scott. Thanks for 2005.
DBAHO
Not the worst situation for him there. If a Taveras goes down, he could get an opportunity perhaps. I'll always be thankful for 2005 (even if you weren't very good post ASB).

bjm676
Good for him. Hopefully, it turns into a Major League contract. He will always have a place in my heart for that walk-off in the World Series.

Id rather have the money Pods made and the ring/memories/chance to be part of history than the dough that C-Lee is eating right now, but thats just me. watchtower41
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jan 30, 2008 -> 05:42 AM) Podsednik Check out Scott's personal website, cool stuff. I wonder why nothing is selling at his personal store thought? I like how his logo doesnt have a montage of him playing the outfield. Scott Podsednik. I hit, I run, I slide. Still love the kid though, one of my best memories of '05 was Pods running out to LF at the start of a game, just learning that the fans voted him in the All-Star game over the likes of Jeter, Matsui and Crawford. It was a well-deserved moment for Scott to reward him for the first half of the '05 season. I'll never regret the Carlos Lee trade, there is no way we win without Pods on that '05 team. Texsox
I'm not so certain we don't win in '05 with Lee. But it's not worth debating. I'd say '06 and '07 would look better with Lee.

I'd say '06 and '07 would look better with Lee. If Carlos Lee would have been on the Sox in 2005, the following players would have never seen home game at the Cell..... Podsednik (still the firestarter that got all of '05 going), Vizcaino, A.J., Iguchi, Shingo, ect. I don't think they could have won with Lee in place of Pods, let alone all the other key components we obatined for the title run because we didnt have to take on El Caballo's enormous contract. I dont buy it.... Shingo and Pieryznski were both pretty cheap, could have still got both with Clee. Maybe not Iguchi and obviously not Vizcaino/Pods.... but Clee is a damn good offensive power and its not like it was our offense that won the WS or that Vizcaino was a dynamite bullpen arm.
