witesoxfan
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 12:39 AM) Just watched the MLB 2005 World Series film. Goosebumps galore...that team was f***ing good. I miss Carl Everett. one of the greatest teams I've ever seen. Getting a lead in like the first 40 or whatever games of the season was ridiculous. If you get can a player who is under contract in some team's minor league organization for him, I'd do it.

Looks like the last few MacDougal outings weren't too bad...wonder if he could be of some use down the stretch. MacD is still pretty bad. I'd guess its more likely that when Linebrink comes back, if Logan is still struggling, they'll send him to AAA and have Liney take his spot, leaving Wassermann in the pen. But I think Boone will get it figured out, so, this will all be moot.

Chisoxfn
Holy cripes, Clayton Richard has one hell of an arm. I'm excited about what him, Danks, Floyd are going to do for the Sox over the next few years. I realize its just a few starts and I'm on the DVR (so I'm only into the top of the 5th) but he has a few different variations of the fastball and a very deceptive delivery (gets good sink on one of his FB's, plus has a very good looking changeup). Chisoxfn
He got totally f'd on his first walk. The 2-2 pitch was a strikeout (how that wasn't a strike is beyond me).

After seeing him pitch, I really like his future. He would have been fine in the 5th if he didn't get intimidated and quit throwing strikes to load them up for Morneau. He had Spahn as well on a close pitch. He seemed to get jobbed although he was always near the zone. I liked how quickly he worked and he seemed like he could really project into a nice pitcher he lookedot have a good upside.

Ya, that 5th inning I was questioning the umps zone. I don't think he pitched to the point that he should have given up 5 runs in that inning, thats for certain. Mauer/Morneau were the only guys who actually hit the ball hard. Defensively the Sox once again looked like s*** behind him, but than again, thats been the norm on the season. Cubs fans with short fuses lately. 3 arrested in Brewers-Cubs brawl at Miller Park The Associated Press 9:55 AM CDT, July 30, 2008 MILWAUKEE - Three Chicago area men are accused of beating up a suburban Milwaukee man who police say threw a beer at their bus after the Milwaukee Brewers' loss to the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park. Officers arrested the three Cubs fans Tuesday night on possible charges of substantial battery. The men are 25, 26 and 34 years old. Police say the three Chicago area men got off the bus after the 24-year-old West Allis man threw the beer. The Brewers fan was cited for disorderly conduct and taken to a local hospital. Authorities say he suffered cuts to his face and had a tooth knocked out. The 34-year-old Chicago area man also received a municipal ticket for assault and battery after police say he punched his sister in the mouth as she tried to intervene in the fight.
