WilliamTell
that's sad when the most frequent lineup was only used 8 times.
SoxAce
Didn't realize how many guys we signed to get an invite/slim chance to make the team.
WilliamTell
I'm surprised one of us wasn't in the lineup with that many different lineups.
2nd_city_saint787
I didnt realize how good broadway did in his short stint up here. Hes prob first in line if Danks Gavin or Count fails, which i kinda anticipate....who was his start against???

3E8
Yeah it was KC. He was so amped for the start. He pumped his fist after every strikeout. I tried to make a gif of it but failed.
witesoxfan
QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 11:07 PM) Yeah it was KC. He was so amped for the start. He pumped his fist after every strikeout. I tried to make a gif of it but failed. IamPabloOzuna
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 11:02 PM) I'm surprised one of us wasn't in the lineup with that many different lineups. look at some other teams and you will find that 117 is actually quite average...if not below average examples: Detroit - 110 NYY - 110 AZ, STL - 147 (NL I know but colorado only used 99, washington 98) MIN - 144 KC - 139 TB - 128 BAL - 123 TOR - 129 OAK - 140 TEX - 137 Edited February 7, 2008 by IamPabloOzuna
ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE(IamPabloOzuna @ Feb 7, 2008 -> 02:01 AM) look at some other teams and you will find that 117 is actually quite average...if not below average examples: Detroit - 110 NYY - 110 AZ, STL - 147 (NL I know but colorado only used 99, washington 98) MIN - 144 KC - 139 TB - 128 BAL - 123 TOR - 129 OAK - 140 TEX - 137 144??? How do you use 144 lineups in one year? They only used a lineup they had previously used 18 times? Thats ridiculous.
max power
This makes me really not care what our opening day line up is.
YASNY
This kind of puts Ozzie's "tinkering with the lineup" into perspective.
Texsox
I could not tell, does batting order matter? If the same 9 guys are on the field but they are batting in a different order, that is a different lineup correct?
elrockinMT
I think the issue of a regular 162 game line up went out the door about the same time platooning and the bench became such a big issue. You are always looking at the "match up" now. Not to say stability isn't a good thing, but with nine regular starting players now there is much more chance of someone sitting for a day of rest, etc Edited February 10, 2008 by elrockinMT
RockRaines
QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 9, 2008 -> 11:44 PM) This kind of puts Ozzie's "tinkering with the lineup" into perspective. That he does it as much if not less than many other teams? Sure.
sox-r-us
This only shows how the depth that Kenny has added this offseason will only further help us with using the best line up to win that day. Ozuna/Cabrera/Owens can be used as a platoon in the IF or OF to leadoff; Swisher at 1B, DH and OF; Quentin at RF & LF; Uribe at 2B/SS if he stays with the team etc Same thing on the bull pen front with solid depth, anyone can pitch any given day to carry the BP. GoodAsGould
I really hope we have a more consistant lineup next year, I think consistency would help out an individual rather than constant changing.
Jimbo's Drinker
Tinkering is bad, step away from that option.
