Warning us that if we don't vote conservative, we'll be the "21st century France"

With the delicious cheese or without the cheese? Because I really like good cheese.

So far he's used this speech to attack liberals, France, unions, "activist" judges, Harvard, and porn, and somehow linked porn to single-parent families.

Wait, he actually said that bit about France? Seriously? I thought you were joking.

If not, well, I have some Frencherds to make fun of.

Paraphrased:

I don't want America to become a 21st Century France (chorus of boos). Still a great country, but not a superpower.

Now it's McCain v Huckebee to the death!

Does McCain put it in cruise and wait for an opponent?

Depends if Huck ends up taking Romney's delegates, but that of course would burn the bridge for a potential VP with McCain, who is the favorite no matter what, even if Huck gets Romney's delegates IMO.

He gave Democrats enough fuel to power a 747 for a year with all the bizarre stuff he said.

That is what I noticed too. His line that "tolerance of pornography" has lead to more children born out of wedlock won loud applause.

And was completely inaccurate.

And YASNY, your correct it's irreelvant what he said since he's not the nominee, but it was still very strange and Democrats will remember this speech if he runs again in 2012, which I think he will.

I don't think he's too worried about what the Dems will remember. It's what the GOP will remember that's important.

Yeah, he was obviously targeting any and all forms of evangelical conservatives that would listen in that speech, almost to the point of going overboard. Problem is, if he runs again, Mike Huckabee will still very possibly be there, and he's going to beat a mormon for the evangelical vote every time.
